How do you care for your leather seats?
I always use meguiars leather wipes to condition and clean them, but the drivers seat on the outside has some scuffs where the actual color has worn off. Anyone else experiencing this? Surprised me to see it wear down so fast like that.
I hear they have leather dying kits for issues like this, or overall leather seat repair kits but I've never seen them anywhere.

It is actually unlikely that the color has worn off. More likely is dye transfer or shrinkage.
Search for "leather master" in the general section and you'll find a few posts that are on point.
Toss the Meguiars - bad stuff.

I've been using Weiman Leather wipes on my 09 TSX and my wife's 09 Civic. They do a great job.
We have been using them on our leather couches as they were recommended by the Lay-z-Boy store when we bought them 8 years ago. The couches still have no cracks, wear signs or discoloring, so i fgured I'd use them in the cars as well.

I'm a huge fan of Zaino. Their leather cleaner and conditioner, I think, almost has a new car smell. I've used it on a few cars. I'm using it on my TSX and like it. I'm a big fan of all of their products.

I'm going to invest in some Lexol product or Optimum's Leather care at this point. Have you guys found anywhere where you can purchase Lexol retail in stores or is ordering it online about the only way to go?
And as for meguiars, once someone here pointed out they're garbage, I realized that they really haven't made any difference in my seats besides making them feel shiny and slippery after applying it. Seems its all surface level gloss look is what its good for..

I put a little bit and massage it into the seats and apply another light later and let it cook in the sun....then i detail the exterior and revist the seats the following day with the cleaner/conditioner

I decided to try lexol and found this on amazon
$26 for 1 liter of cleaner and 1 liter of conditioner with an application pad. Plus if you have prime you will get it in 2 days! I found a couple in my local stores and they are a little bit cheaper but with taxes they come out to be about the same as the one on amazon.

It's Lexol all the way. I've been using the cleaner and conditioner for years in all the cars I've owned. It's never left any oily residue on any of my leather seats. As long as you reapply the stuff at least twice a year, the seats will look good as new. My 2004 TL, which I traded for my TSX Wagon, looked practically brand new. But you have to remember to keep up with the cleaning and conditioning though.

Leather Care
I use Connolly. They have a leather care kit which has both leather cleaner and hide care. You can find it on Amazon or eBay for a decent price but any other retail store it's pretty expensive.
This is the stuff professionals use and charge you a bundle for. Also it doesn't give your leather that greasy shine look! It's a nice matte finish.

Has anyone tried the Lexol 3 in 1? Or is it better to use the cleaner then conditioner?

I just bought and tried Malco conditioner. Was told that local car dealers use it in this area.
Only applied a light film. The seats are smoother in a couple rough areas in the back, front seats not slippery, and the smell is pretty nice, very "leather " like.
Best I've used so far.

I use the Lexol conditioner and cleaner separately. However, I don't keep my cars long enough so had a question.
On old Honda/Acuras I see the "cracks" in the leather on the side bolster and lower bolster.
For those of you taht use Lexol for years, does it prevent it from those usage cracks that are visible?

The lexol cleans the cracks so they are less visible.
Lexol itself won't prevent those cracks, but I'm willing to bet it helps.

Leather will crease. Keeping leather clean and flexible will decrease the visibility of the creases

I've had good luck w/ just keeping it clean and rarely using any cleaning wipes/solvents. I just wipe it down once a week w/ moist microfiber towel. No gloss. No smell. No residue. Looks brand new.
