Exclamation How to change the fog light bulbs?

Hello, i just bought a 2010 TSX and I'm not too impressed with the fogs and want to change them to 2500k bulbs. Does anyone know how to get to them

Usually there's an access panel in the plastic gravel guard/belly pan directly under the light housings that you can open in order to gain access to the bulbs.

If not, you'll have to remove the lower plastic guard under the bumper cover in it's entireity.

Can you install LED lights in a driving light housing? If it's the correct bulb, then yes.

I don't think you'll have as much light output with them, but WTH do I know?

Sylvania shows it to be an H11, so if your LED source makes an H11 bulb replacement, there ya go.

I replaced the factory fogs with inexpensive yellow H11s that I ordered from Ebay just last week. IMO, the light output is a bit brighter -- though, it could just be because it is a color that I am not used to seeing...?

As long as the bulbs you get is H11, it'll fit without any further modding/wiring. Its just plug and play.
To replace your fogs, you'll need to take out the screw + 1 clip on the fender liner, and 4 clips underneath the fender liner.

i got it from a ebay seller named warden jp. they were 18 bucks for the pair.
they are not very bright though, probably because the HID low beams are brighter. but they are nice to look at nonetheless.

Hey man how do you get that plastic piece off? I read the manual and it says remove the three screws and I did. It then shows a picture of the plastic piece and it almost looks like a flap. I for the life of my cannot get that piece off. Any tips?

you jsut gotta wiggle it a little and bend a littl eand it'll come out like a flap. it took me forever and gave me very little space with that method, thats why i prefer taking out the bumper (although i dont like taking out the clips that much as well)

does it actually come down from where it is ed or do you just bend it inwards and work on it like that? i find that the passenger side has ample room to just work and slide it out of the way but the drivers side has an obstruction that severely limits the space without bumper removal and i just basically fold it inwards and suffer

My driver's side fog lamp cracked and I got a replacement part (from Amazon, $75). I see some pointers on this thread about removing the grey plastic piece that surrounds the fog light housing. Can someone advise or suggest the best to do this without breaking anything? Since my fog light is cracked, there's sharp glass pieces all around the housing so I would have to be extra careful... any tips would be appreciated!

unless you're emergency services, keep the lights out of your car. the reason blue and red and green lights on cars is illegal is because fire and ems and hazmat(green) use these flashing lights to get through traffic. guess what happens when other idiots on the road have blue lights? you can't see my flashing blue/whites and don't move, and as volunteers we cant have red, and we can't respond to a scene.

and blkout, really? this was very helpful... a year later
