Glove compartment rattle
Has anybody experienced some slight rattling coming from the glove compartment when driving over the slightest bumps? It's starting to drive me crazy and I can't seem to find the source exactly.

Are you 100% sure it's the glove compartment? I had a rattle which I thought was coming from there... turns out it was that little piece of plastic that's behind the door handle. If you push on it it will click back into place if it's loose. Worth a try...

I too have a rattle related to the glove box. Its a rapid rattle noise so it sounds almost like a buzzing sound. It happens as soon as the car moves. I've opened the glove box door and let it hang out and that seems to have fixed the rattle. Im almost certain that its coming from the glove box handle. I play around with the handle a bit, close the box and the rattle usually goes away for that trip.

I have a creaking sound coming from the glove box, like a "tick tick tick" noise during acceleration / deceleration. I had mentioned it in another thread, and AcuraTSX09Grigio responded to it in the following thread:

I will check it out in the spring when the weather will cooperate more and the snow will melt...

I think this rattle is coming from the passenger A-pillar. Apparently, there are some clips inside the pillar that are loose (holding the curtain airbag in place). My dealer fixed it in early December and there hasn't been a rattle since...now I'm trying to figure out a rattle from the passenger seat or the B-pillar. ha.

Just fixed my rattle tonight. It was driving me nuts. Turns out the little shelf inside the glove compartment was rattling. It was fixed by putting a small piece of cardboard at the top left corner, between the shelf support and the roof of the glove compartment.

had the same problem - fixed it.
I had the same problem with my 2004 TL. I opened the glove box and removed it. I think the 2004 glove boxes are a little different then others because I didn't have any screws holding mine in place. Instead of screws there were about 10 clips on the back side of the glove box. I'm sure other years have they in addition to the screws...
I noticed that all of these clips had some silicon lube on them, and because I am the first owner of this car, I know it was from the factory. I'm assuming that acura knew this was going to be a problem and that was their solution. Instead of putting more lube on here is what I did..
Completely removed the glove box. Opened it up and layed it upside-down onto a towel or something that wont damage the front.
Then I took just plain electrical tape and put about an inch of it over every metal clip. I reinstalled the glove box and could immediately feel it sitting tighter in the clip holders. I tested on the most pot holed street I could find and it worked perfectly!
Glad it wasn't too hard :-)
