Front Passenger Tweeter

WTF!!!! I know I'm not going crazy...

My front passenger tweeter sounds like theres a loose coil or some sort. Every time I hit a bump or play music with bass, it sounds horrible.

I've taken my vehicle to 2 different dealerships and both tell me they don't hear anything.

I'm sick and tired of it... I've even thought about replacing it myself.

What to do? I really don't want to waste time and money on something that should be covered under warranty.

P.S. Its a 2009 non-tech model.

ask them to listen to it while you're in the car with them and point it out to them

I think I'm also having this problem. Its not super loud, but it is relatively consistent in that it rattles when certain notes are played (either through it, or the speaker below), vibration during acceleration and vibration due to bumps in the road. I have not been able to verify it is the speaker (need gf to drive while I ride shotgun), but it really sounds like its coming from inside the speaker.

Any resolution?

tell them you want a manager to get in the car and listen to it, because its ridiculous and there is a TSB out to replace everything sound oriented anyway

I dunno if you tried this but it helps to isolate the sound to the particular corner of the car. What I mean is adjust the balance and fade so that sound is only coming out of the bad corner of the car. It also helped to listen with the door with the bad speaker open and NOT sit in the car. Both of those tricks helped me show the service guy which speaker was bad a little better.

I'm going to try and pop the tweeter out / try some of the things mentioned above to isolate it before I take it in

I have the same problem. I took the car to the dealer today... and they returned it by end of the day saying they found nothing and they couldn't hear any noise. I had taken one of the mechanics for a drive to make him hear the noise... and he was like I can barely hear anything or its not consistent... in short, I think he was trying to make excuses.
After reading many post on this topic (rattle on passenger seat side - either from the door or the seat belt), I think they are aware of the problem but not really ready to accept it and make excuses like the one above and say thats news to me... never heard of this complaint... and blah blah...
My car is brand new 2900 miles... and this piece of crap shit is annoying... with its crazy noise... sorry don't get me wrong... I love everything about Honda.... I drove Honda Civic for 4 years before moving to TSX.... I kinda miss my Civic now... and makes me feel, I wasted my money with this switch...

I hope they come out with some TSB soon - BTW, I called Acura customer service dept. too and they said the same thing... our database shows nothing about it.. no TSB.

I have the same issue w/ both the driver and passenger side tweeters, and it is especially evident during conversations using the BT. After much trial and error, I think it's the plastic around them that vibrates when certain notes are hit and not an issue w/ the speakers themselves. Unfortunately for me (and fortunately for Acura) I am so sick of sound system problems (4 speakers [all doors] have been replaced now, a bad XM module...), I am just going to deal with it for now. To be honest I see myself getting another car in a few years already, so...

I don't know if it's something with this particular speaker...but I have a brand new 2010 and before it even hit 500 miles the front passenger tweeter was rattling mostly during BT conversations or when someone was speaking on the radio. I isolated the speaker took it to the dealership and they replaced it no questions asked. They claimed to of not heard of any other cases of this though.
