Door closing - sounds like a tin can

Anyone else experience this? It really sounds like a cheap Hyundai or something...

I went to a car audio shop and had them install sound deadening (car audio insulation). The 2 front doors now close like a vault! It has also helped with reducing road noise. For $100, I highly recommend.

The door has stiffeners that are typically adhesively bound to the door skin. When the adhesive fails, a thin, tinny door close sound is heard. Fix is to re-bond the stiffners w/ adhesive.

good luck

I will try this next weekend and see. I also have to replace the weatherstrips, the driver door sounds horrible when closing.
