crooked headlights?

I just got a 2010 PWP TSX and noticed the headlights are crooked. When I use them at night the right light is higher than the left. I asked the dealer, he said that it is like that to prevent blinding incoming traffic. Is that true? The headlights on my last car wasnt like that. Anyone else's headlight like this?

It's normal - what your dealer told you is correct. They are all like that - you'll get used to it over time.

Welcome to the world of projectors and HID's.
the projectors do provide a step in the light beam on the drivers side to prevent blinding oncoming traffic.

what your dealer told you is correct.

I'm not familiar with Altima's but I looked up some pictures and it does not seem like the 08 altima coupes had HID projectors. this is why you've never noticed it.

I can never go back to standard halogen... Our HIDs are great (better than the TL) and I love the cutoff

You can always do JDM headlight swap and blind oncoming traffic, lol

BTW: you cannot adjust the left higher or right lower. That bump in the plane of the beam is built into each light, so even if you have one headlight blown, you will still see the bump.

nothing against you, just puttin this out because it struck a nerve.

I HATE jdm headlights and i HATE people that put hid conversion kits in standard headlight housings. sorry for the rant but they dont have the deflectors built in that prevent the blinding of others. i almost got in an accident because of a guy in an escalade with those behindme. must have been higher output than any 55w ive ever seen. but all im saying is they should be illegal. and if you think you look cool with your glaring blue hid wannabe lights and were too cheap to get the real hid housing (oh im sorry, they must not make one for that model) then you probably shouldnt have them to begin with. want hid? get a car with them factory installed and i wont be tempted to take a baseball bat to them when yer sitting behind me at a redlight. no offense. lol.

Any car with projectors, regardless if it's equipped with HID or not, you're going to notice a cutoff.

i raised my drivers side beam to match the passenger side. its pretty much a straight line now. except for the cutoff on the far side of each beam.

So your saying that you raised the drivers side, and you now have a straight beam.....

precisely. it doesn't blind anyone either. but much more aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

Not to , but how do you know? Have you gotten feedback from oncoming drivers?

^^ Exactly

Have been the oncoming driver many times looking into what some dumbsh_t thinks are properly adjusted headlights, I must say, take it back to the dealer and get them adjusted to where they belong.

Especially HID's, which project much farther than you are "seeing". Your "pleasing to the eye" is a serious hazard for other drivers.

well you can see the beam cutoff on the car in front of you. it is around the middle-top of the trunk area and never reaches the side view mirrors. and since the beam generally slopes downward the further out you go, that's how it doesn't blind anyone.
