Car issues after B1 service

Hey everyone!

I'm hoping for a little advice. I went to my local Acura dealership in Maryland yesterday for my first B1 service. Immediately after I went on a trip to Buffalo. Two weird things happened.

First, when I got home from the dealership just fine but when I got in the car after a 5 minute rest stop trip, it wouldn't start. After trying a minute it worked just fine. Didn't think too much of it. Then this happened, which I need some help with since I'm not too car savvy.

I was traveling on a local highway going about 65 and needed to slow down a bit going down hill. When I started to slow, the RPM went down and then shot up above 3000 and got stuck. It felt like I had switched into sport shifting at 2nd or 3rd gear and stuck there. If i would accelerate at all the RPM jumped up to 5000 and the car sounded like it was really working to move. After a few minutes it stopped. I was able to replicate it four more times on the trip, noticing that it happened only for 10 seconds each time after. I also can make it stop by using the paddles to shift gears manually. The car also seems a little sluggish on acceleration in general. No issues prior to service

Any thoughts would be great. I'm 450 miles from the dealer and worried about the drive back down.

Thanks!

It is still under warranty. Make a pit stop at a dealer up there. Should be easy to diagnose as you can replicate it.

Sounds like a coil pack might be going bad. Take it into dealer.

Call acura roadside assistance. Since You are 450 miles away You might get a free stay at a hotel.

The downhill thing sounds like the brake assist. Depending how hard you brake it will downshift and keep that gear normally until you gain more speed or you hit level road. Your rpm's will be higher and is sometimes a pain in the ass.

I had an issue with the starting too on my 09. If my car sat for 8 hours and i started it and moved it, shut it off and restarted it 30-60 minutes later, it wouldn't start.

They did a software update and that seemed to solve the issue.
