Lol, My dealer said I need to replace it every 15000 miles. But they wanted like $100 to do it, so I told them no.

Don't let dealers do it, they'll charge you a fortune for the import, European made filter that is almost exACTly like the same US-made filter by the same manufacturer. If you shrug and let the dealer do it, Paypal me $100 for the time I spent writing these threads.

My last filter was $15 from Amazon. With money I saved on doing my own filters, I bought a RSB. Think on it.

DarkKnight, crikey, I think I remember when you had just got your car. 25,000 miles ... tempus fugit.

Kid, make your mom do the change. It will let her go through the glovebox and throw out anything she doesn't need.

G'night, all. Enjoy your 2Gs....

All i have in my glovebox is gum, my junk ipod nano (1st gen ftw), AUX cable, iPod cable, and USB sticks. Seems like all of it is necessary to me! I'm just really lazy to change out this filter. well going to autozone tomorrow to see if they have this part.

I just replaced my CAF. I have an STP branded one from Autozone. Works fine. Its funny I forgot about the CAF, I was wondering why my interior air quality so bad, then remembered it was over 25K since I last changed it.

Took 5-10 minutes. Turns out I had run it on the 2nd filter for over 35K.. seesh! I'll be keeping track closer now.

@cyberbro: could you share the 20% coupon / site that you used for the K&N filter? Been planning to get one for a while and at such a discount now should be the right time

I also got 20% off the K&N air filter, now the Stealer-ship will not give me the Free oil changes they promise.

Just replaced it this Sunday. Picked up the filter at the Dealer for 20$. It took about 10 minutes and it couldnt be any easier. Just slide the tray out by pulling on it and then pushing the tabs to get the cover off and the next set of tabs to get the filter out. Had 25K on the one in there and it was really pretty disgusting. Will definitely be replacing it around 15k next time

My 2009 TSX has 21,700 miles and still has 30% oil life showing (know it will be the B12 service). Since I haven't replaced the cabin air filter, took the advice here and did it myself... piece of cake.

Picked up the Purolator for about $15 at Pep Boys and within 5 minutes I was done. The glove box "rack" basically pulls straight out. Pop off the cover at the back. Push the tabs inward on the tray...took a few minutes to get the right technique on this...but out it came...

Original filter was certainly showing its age... see picture below. Original filter on right, New on left (in case it was difficult to determine )

^Good job, my dealer charged $70 as part of B12 service a while back.

So I changed mine for $20 (got my filter at Cdn Tire store- dealer charges $27 here in Canada) last month when B12 came up again @ 51,000 miles.
