axle compatibility?
nobody knows huh?...
guess I'm the first 2nd gen with bad inner axle joint/s. Seems fairly common on the 1st gen models from my research. My car is lowered which I'm sure lead to accelerated wear. I assume it's been lowered most it' life, has 55k miles on it now.
I'll be researching replacement options.
FYI symptoms are the car shaking/vibrating during any kind of acceleration 30-40mph and 60-70mph.

Update:
After some test drives in driver and passenger seat, it felt like it was shaking harder on the drivers side. Overall it just felt like a shitty car no matter where you sat.
I picked up a junkyard 2010 drivers side axle (unknown mileage) and installed that today. I've read alot of 1st gens replacing with aftermarket and it not really helping, or the shaking was fixed but came back fairly soon. So I wanted to try OEM (it lasted at least 55k last time...
), but brand new are pretty expensive.
The "new" drivers axle seemed to have eliminated at least 90% of the shaking, so I'm happy about that, buuut now I can't be completely sure if the minor shaking that still exists is caused by the passenger axle, or the used axle I bought, lol...oh well. I'm done until it gets worse again.
