anyone else have this problem?

got my windows tinted last summer 35%. notice how the lights are blurred along the defrost lines on the rear window. it's blurrier in person. not like I can't see through the window, but does anyone else have this problem? had it professionally installed. was it a bad install? I've had this problem since the summer but don't drive my car all that much so I haven't been all that annoyed by it, but kind of got annoyed by it tonight as I was driving down state street in chicago which has a lot of neon lights and cars on the road but is otherwise notoriously dark.

how can you tell the tint is peeling? maybe just be the crappy photo? anyway, this guy came well recommended on another forum. he said there's a lifetime warranty so hopefully he holds true to it (thankfully kept the receipt) but before I drive all the way back there and potentially have to argue for a retinting, I just want to know if this is typical or not.

Well tinting is always clear so I am assuming that its failing so I would get a retint or have them remove it and go somewhere else. Don't want to risk of them redoing it again and having the same situation.

Yes, getting halos and distortion along defroster lines is common and can't really be avoided.

Like the fritt (the dots around the outside), the defroster lines are slightly raised so the lines act like a spec of dust under the tint.

Yes, this is normal and happened on every cars back window that I've had tinted and same for friends.

Mostly, yes. In part it tepends on the tint - with thicker tint having more reflections.

If your going to replace the tint on the rear window make sure they steam it off. If they peel or scrape if off, it might damage your rear defroster.
