7-Year/100K Service
I have a 2011 TSX with 60K miles on it. I just had the 60K miles service, but now the service folks are telling me I'm also due for a "7-Year/100K mile service" which will run me over $1600! They say the service includes spark plugs, water pump, coolant, drive belt and checking the timing chain and sliders. I can find nothing about this service in the owners manual or on the Acura website where it gives info on regular service. Does this sound right or are they trying to pull a very expensive fast one on me?

Sounds like some BS. Major services like that are the money makers of shops
Although there is some backbone to those services though but they're unnecessary at that mileage. (I'm assuming you have the 2.4L and not the V6, if you have the V6 you need to go somewhere else to service you car haha)
Very rarely to these cars have water pump issues or timing chain problems (Only thing that kills these chains is not changing/checking your oil)
Spark plugs I recommend at 105k. Even then, your car won't misfire if you go over that but it's good for the motor to change them.
Coolant at 100k or 7 years, yet another by the book but not really needed.
Drive belt, I change when it starts to show signs of cracking. Easy to see with a flashlight, just look at the ribs on the belt for dry rotting and cracks. Use factory belts (Mitsuboshi or Bando are OEM equivalents), they're worth the price.

The inconvenient truth
When in doubt consult your owners manual. I'm sure it will need that service.... at 105k miles and not before regardless of time. But I hear its good to change your coolant every 5 or so years.
