2011 TSX Driver's Side Clanking Noise

I've had a clanking noise--sounds like a loose metal part--around the driver's side wheel for several months. The noise starts at slow speeds and stops and starts seemingly randomly. The noise is not brought on by turning, going over bumps or accelerating. Low mileage and no accidents. Any ideas? Thanks.

Look for loose brake and heat shields. Non essential (for movement) parts that sound like hell when they come loose. Often left loose by mechanics, and can work their way loose too, with no assistance.
