I'm thinking about tinting my tail lights. Anyone have images of their 2nd gen TSX with this look? And how much did it cost?

I smoked my tails for $100 for the 4 taillights. I have seen them for cheaper but this is also Canadian rip-off pricing as well.

opboarding and kowloonsniper has their tails smoked. See pics below.

The tint I got is subtle, and I bet 99% of people will not see the difference, but I can tell the difference.

I bought smoke vinyl for mine and put it on myself. Mine looks about the same shade as vinny's, I think it was like 92% or something. I bought a large sheet of it for $15 and put it on myself.

Heres another picture, the one above of mine has a some glare.

It was sort of an impulse buy when I was at autolinks in Scarborough. Was originally going to get my door-cups 3M'd and switched to tinting the tails.

Don't regret it though, just needed to work some OT to make up the difference...but yes out of the above I am the sucker.

For formula one pinnacle ceramic tints they were the best price and most recommended. So that is the reason I went there.

Good shop, and good service.

james_and7 - You thinking of lightly smoked or going for the blacked out look.

Thanks guys.

I'm looking to lightly smoke it like Vinny's. My car isn't black so I just want to cut down the contrast between the dark body colour and tail lights. Local tinting place wants to charge me $160 ($40 for each tail light) oh and then $20 for the reflectors. When I asked how much longer it would take to do 4 instead of 2, they said 5 minutes. Ya...that''s worth me paying double.

So clearly I haven't done anything yet.

pre cut was really easy actually, and it's not that cheap shit, it's very forgiving when trying to form it. It actually helped when I took it off because I cut around my turn signals and used the cut out to get the right shape for my red overlays.

In hindsight I would have gone with the pre-cut if I knew the amount of savings I could of had.

I think I got some reasonable prices from 3M trimline, and it seems there is one in Vancouver - try giving them a call.

I believe they have a charge of $25 per square foot, so I would assume with 3 sq. ft you might be able to get everything you need done - tails, reflectors etc.
