Snapped a few pictures today

I've done some small exterior mods within the last year and half of ownership, and now that I'm almost done with modding my car, I decided to snap a few pictures.

Mods done so far: E60 BMW 5 series roofwing, M3 lip spoiler, 5% tint in the back/15% tint in the front, Yellow overlay with LED fogs, Blacked out headlight sidemarkers, Mugen visors, LED interior/trunk/license plate light.

Future mods: Projector fogs w/4300k Philips H11 HID, Light smoke overlay on headlights/taillights, Injen intake (test fitting for them on tuesday), Grill from HeelToe, Rims, and a good drop.

Very nice indeed.

The roofwing and lip spoiler looks great (almost OEMish).

Not a big fan of visors, but Mugen ones looks better than Acura.

The blacked out headlight sidemarkers look odd (out of place), will reserve judgement until after you applied light smoked overlay in front and rear.

The grille from Marcus, I assumed you are paintmatching (with A or H ?).

Keep up the good work, and please let us know how Injen works out. I am holding off on getting Takeda, (CT is taking forever..).

1. Yes, im going to get the paint matched grill with A from Marcus.
2. i have a set of Volk SF challenge in gloss black w/polished lip lined up, 19x8.5 +34/19x9.5 +36 stretched on 235/45/19 in the rears.
3. im doing a light smoke, so hopefully the blacked out sidemarker wont look too out of place.
and thanks for the nice comments, it lets me know im doing things right!

Just want to give you a word of caution before installing those wheel/tire combo.

With 19 x9.5 ET 36 rear, your inner clearance would be 6mm less, but your outer position would be extended by 44mm (that's really sticking out).

With 19 x8.5 ET 34 front, your inner clearance would be 8mm more (great for BBK), but your outer position would be extended by 34mm (that's still really sticking out).

Our stock rim is 17 x 7.5 ET 55

Check with calculator below:

http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

Tire size is also a concern:

In general, you want to stay within 3% of stock diameter.

Our Michelin are 225/50/17

Your 235/45/19 combo will be excessive (5.39% difference), a better one would be 245/35/19 ( 0.39% difference) or 235/35/19 ( 1.48% difference).

No worries, I'll make it work.
I'm going 235/45/19 because the proper tire size is 265 for 9.5 inch width rims, and there is no way i can stuff 265s on it without camber/roll fenders. so 235/45/19 will do the trick because 45 is a tall sidewall, so it wont "look" very stretched.
oh and of course ill test fit them first at my buddy's house. after all, hes selling me those rims + brand new tires for 1100, i cant really pass up that deal lol.

Did you really mean 265s? Or 245s?

I don't think 235/45x19s are a good idea. They're way too tall. 235/45x18 is ok but you'll struggle to get them onto 19" wheels

235/40x19s are what you want

Ohhhh, sorry - I misread it before!

265s on 9.5J will fit the rear but you'll need an ET60+ wheel.

235/45x19s are too tall.

245/35s are a better height but they're right on the limit with 9.5J. I'm thinking that handling will be compromised in as much as breakaway will be very sudden, especially if the same size tyres are fitted to different front/rear wheel widths.

If you go ahead, please post the results???

TBH, I'd say those wheels aren't really suitable for a TSX.

Volks are quite expensive, so would it be worth selling them on and using the cash to buy something cheaper but better suited to the car???

BTW, the M3 spoiler looks like it was made for the car

nah, its not worth selling the volks because no one has money, and everyone low balls like crazy.
for the M3 spoiler, i believe it was made for our car, i got it for really cheap on ebay.

oh btw, of course those volks arent suitable for the tsx, they were custom ordered to fit a RX8 without rubbing issues, lol.

thanks man! i think i am going to do 4300K projector HID foglights next. what do you think? 4300K shoots a white beam much like our headlights, but the yellow overlay will make it yellow. Plus, 4300K is brighter than 3000K.
There is a seller on ebay named leds4you aka lotarev that sells universal projector foglights for 49.99, its very tempting lol.

It does not come painted, only primered. You'd need to find a good bodyshop to paint it and put it on for you. Good price would be between 60-100 for a good paintmatch and install.
The shop that did mine matched the paint perfectly down the the metallic flakes, but it wasnt cheap. he charged me 100 paint + install, which took 2 people and 5 minutes lol.

No, either the seller didn't know the difference, or you didn't read the description carefully. Your M3 lip spoiler is clearly made for 1st gen.

No problem. I believe you can get it shipped for less than 30 dollars (shipping from Taiwan). Painted and install for probably another 60. So around $100 for everything, cheaper than buying the $300+ OEM lip that's for sure.
