Out with the old, in with the new
Got my new 09 TSX on Black Friday I used to have the 1st gen TSX, and now I've upgraded to the new one in PWP with ebony interior. Will miss my old Arctic Blue Pearl though..hence my screenname.
Here is one last look at the old CL9:

04 TSX was also CL9. How do I know? Because my VIN said so
CL7 was not available in US. CL9 was the only chassis sold in US for that generation.
CL7 - Accord Euro R
CL9 - TSX, Honda Accord AWD

Very Nice.
Love the colour combo. It was my first choice for colour but my wife got a PWP on tan. I didn't want two white TSXs in the garage. It's bad enough we have two of the same car as it is. Think about getting the Aero kit. I got it for mine but it looks the best on the white. IMO.
Have fun with it.

I got this car for the following reasons:
1) I needed a non-manual car for my commuting, LA traffic sucks.
2) Made in Japan. It was either this or the used RL. After sitting in and RL i felt too "old"
3) After driving it and sitting into the 2nd gen my view changed. It was really comfortable, quiet, and much more upscale. My needs compared to my last car has changed from 5 years ago. The ergonomics are top notch and fits me really well.
4) Gas prices. it will go up again, just a matter of when. The RL is too thirsty for my taste.
5) Looks. The car "grew" on me after driving it, and I liked it more now. I only had this car for a week, and I enjoyed it a lot more. The Tech package is awesome, there is nothing that compares to it (besides the 09 TL). A must have!
For those people who are on the sidelines, go out and test drive it. Then you will know for sure if you like it or not. It's a definite change from the 1st gen TSX..less sporty, but more luxurious, and great gadget car.

arcticcl9..I am happy to see that you are a converted to the 2gen also. I did too but a while back so I grew to the new style and features very quickly. I love my 2009 TSX alot and wouldn't trade for anything else at the moment!!
Have fun with it...
cheers

Congratualtions for getting PWP. I dont think painting grill looks good with white.
I am also tinting it but more than 70%. too afraid of getting tickets.
put paint sealant on the car. it makes the car more cream white. that looks very good and expensive looking.

I finally had time to retake the pictures with the tint on. It's been hard to keep the car clean since it's been raining a lot in LA
Things that I've done to the car:
Clayed and polished with Zaino, although the car got rained on after 12 hours
Philips Crystal Vision 9005 (for the HID look)
Polarg foglights H11 (Yellow Fogs)
HP Smoke window tint (F35/R20)
Going to get LED license plate lights and interior door lights soon

here is mine. I like White color with tints. Since i drive faster than traffic some time just dont want unwanted attention from cops with tint.
I am not sure you need to change the rims.

Thanks for posting your impressions, in particular coming from a 1st gen TSX. I also had a 04 TSX and it was my favorite car of all the cars I've owned and it was not the fastest or most expensive. I traded it in on a 07 G35(second gen.) and regretted it almost immediately, yes the G was faster and more modern, but it just didn't do it for me, factor in gas mileage and cost of ownership I just didn't really like it all that much. I love the S2k, its a great car to drive and fun, but it is not very practical, in particular as a daily driver in upstate NY. So I am thinking of getting back into a TSX and am glad to see other 1st gen TSX owners are moving onto the 2nd gen and are happy.

Forced Induction
Philips Crystal Vision 9005 (for the HID look)
Polarg foglights H11 (Yellow Fogs)
Do you mean you changed the bulbs in the high beams? And can you post some pics of the headlights on with the Polarg H11 bulbs so I can get an idea of how it looks like?
Thanks

You are correct, ABP was the best color, but right before I sold it attracted attention of cops all of a sudden. They needed to write more tickets for revenue in California
Also, it's not "white" it's Pearl White

I just love the G. Looks, sound, performance, RWD. I'm going to miss it.
Regardless, my lease is up in April and I'll probably go back to the TSX.

Since I took those picture, I have put on my front and rear plates already. No more (intentionally) running red light cameras! I'm trying to keep cops away as much as I can. Cops around here are pretty lenient with dark tint, most people who tint their cars are have very dark tint installed. Some people don't have front plates either and get away with it too. My sister has a 2005 TL (also white) and she doesn't have the front plate on, and never gotten pulled over...dunno why, besides being damn lucky!
