OEM mud guards fitting with OEM side skirts

i really dont like the type s sides that i have. i was thinking of just purchasing the OEM side skirts because it looks cleaner. however i still want to use my OEM mud guards.

i wanted to know if the OEM side skirts just wraps around the body or does it actually hang lower.

the type s side skirt hangs lower by 2-2.5 inches.

Mud gaurds are not compatible with the Aero sides. They hang lower, stick out further, and wrap around the wheel well.

the front mud guards will not fit with the factory side skirts, but the rear ones do. But if you only have the rear it will look silly, that's why I took my mud guard off after installing the side skirts.

Do you have the sideskirts with the stock rear bumper?

i cant compare the type s replica to OEM since i dont own the OEM kit. the type S replica is huge compared to the original type S. the type s replica that i have is made of polyurethane so i had to use a heat gun and massage some parts that were warped to make it fit properly

i chopped off the front end of the side skirts because i wanted to keep my OEM guards with the kit. so i fiberglassed it and sanded it down.

ya i can take pics this weekend

Yup I have stock bumpers, front and back.
I don't like the aero front bumpers, I just want the lip.

I think the bottom rear of the car needs to be lower to match the lowness of the side skirts.

The front bottom needs to be lower just a tad as well to be proportional overall.

im getting coilovers and OEM side skirts to make up for that

you're not kidding about the replica kit being more chunky than the OEM...really noticeable with the sides...there's a gap in the front lip too...

IMO the sides look better without the mud guards

The bottom rear bumper needs to hang lower so it'll be roughly the same height from the ground as the side skirts are. Lowering the car won't fix the problem.

Maybe the missing rear lip will fix this problem.

i think i know what he means by looking at the photo taken from the side. front and side is almost an even distance from the ground but your rear is hanging up a bit. i dont think there's a rear lip for tsx as far as i know but there's type s bumper or aero bumper to fix the issue ?
i thinkcombination of mud guard and side skirt does not go along very well eventho you might have trim it to make it work ,...i think the junction look wierd . sorry...

That looks much better.

The rear lip makes the car look much more proportional now.

Now you just need to fix the actual fit of the rear lip so it'll look flush with the bumper and of course fix the way your LS tips stick out from the lip.
