Just a heads up for you folks.
if you need tires, www.tires-easy.com has AWESOME prices.
i was hesitant at first because there really are a LOT of bad reviews on the net but figured id give it a shot since most i saw were a few years old. figured theyd gotten their shit together by now.
ordered a set of Achilles ATR Sport 245/40/18. shipped to a shop near me for $400 total.
shipping took about 2 business days. (ordered on friday. got them tues)
id never heard of Achilles but i was on a budget and did some research. they have stellar reviews and so far i love them.
low road noise, very grippy and treadwear rating is like 400 or something.
customer service is kinda difficult. the 2 times i called, they were french and had a thick accent but i got what i needed. just be sure to call a day or so after you order and ask for a tracking number. i never got one til i asked for it.

great man car looks nice but you need to get rid of that wheel gap bigger tires would be good or some springs with minimal drop....is your tpms light still not on hmmm maybe cuz of the tire size

hehe the wheel gap is honestly about the same size as stock.
the overall diameter of the wheel only changed .5% or something.
i honestly dont plan on lowering it.
maybe when i change tires, ill go 45s.
i wanted to do 45s to start with but the tire calculator said it was off by mor ethan 6% if i did that so i stuck with the lowest difference.
right now, it would hit the fender if i hit a speed bump hard...
as for TPMS.. i have no idea why it hasnt gone off yet. just drove it again a little while ago. nothing. the sensors are sitting at home on my stock tires and wheels..
ill just cross my fingers and hope it stays that way. lol

i wouldnt mind new suspension but its not worth risking the warranty imo.
when the warranty runs out, ill consider it.
def dont wanna do springs.
right now, i can easily unbolt everything and take it to the dealer if somethings wrong.

Sweet ride man! I picked up my '12 TSX just two weeks ago. It's a 6-speed manual in Milano red. So far I'm loving the ride! I've been looking around the forums for other '12 owners to see what I can mod on my ride as well.

i feel sorry for us at pollen time.

Hey, when you changed the wheels, did you have to use any spacers to flush it out with the fenders?
I'll get some pictures of my ride up as soon as I get enough messages going

The dealer where I purchased my ride unfortunately didn't have it inred. It took a couple of more days of waiting for them to acquire the vehicle but it was well worth it!

first sunny day in about a week and my PC7424XP came so i gave her a good detail.
i had 2 packages coming from autogeek. 1 with a backing plate and the other with Poorboys SSR1-3, dodo juice paste wax, and a couple of lake county pads. agressive, mid, and fine.
well.. i had her all cleaned, clayed, and ready to polish... postman shows up and gives me nothing but the backing plate.
i was PISSED!
i was left to polish with just a Lake Co kompressor white (fine) pad and prima swirl which is far from agressive.
i did ok i guess. i didnt get all the swirls, fine scratches out but i did what i could.

one of these days ill get a real camera.. sorry for nothing but iphone pics. lol
polished with prima swirl and a white kompressor pad.
finished with blackfire crystal seal.
i think i spent like a hour on the hood alone. doing it again and again til most of the swirls were gone.

after 10mins with the PC, i saw what all the fuss was about.
its sooo Easy to use.
ive used rotaries before and with that, you had to keep it moving and keep the right amount of pressure on it.
with a PC, it lets you know if youve put too much pressure on it because it stops spinning.
you can take your time polishing too since it wont burn the paint.
im absolutely in love with it!
def worth the $90 bucks i spent
i doubt ill have time to give her a real good detail til dec but by then ill have a nice cozy garage to do it in!

heheh i work from home so i get to sit around the house all day and obsess over how dirty my car is and clean it ALL THE TIME.
my neighbors have think im nuts.
those are cheap-o ebay ones.
i couldnt decide which ones i wanted so i just picked up a cheap set for the time being. i really want some mutekis but i cant decide if i want the blue, purple or neo chrome.
the cheap-os blue scratches off very easily..
i wish it was blue all the way through but i think its just painted or powder coated.
not bad for $20 bucks though.

I got pretty good results with the light blue one but I have very light swirls so I used the ssr 2 and a white kompressor pad.
That seemed to do the trick.
It's hard working off just sunlight. I need to get a decent light.
I will say though. The purple haze wax gives dark paint a really deep wet shine.
I love it. I might put on another coat tomorrow or maybe switch it up to prima epic.

i keep meaning to debadge but forget.
maybe once i move in to my house with a garage, i can debadge, for real paint the fog light housing and maybe go HID on fogs..
if budget allows, get a new grill + Modulo bumper =D
