Im sold! After Petit le Mans, this will be my next mod. One question, I may have read over the answer to cause I was too excited. Is the tint strip easily moveable? Is it cling on or actually have and adhesive?

It is not clunky at all, it was actually A LOT thinner than I thought. And from the pictures I saw on the net, it looked almost grey so I was planning on painting it black but when it came in it was already matte black. Since I have ebony interior this was perfect! From the drivers seat it is practically unnoticeable. ALSO it has a little lip towards the back so that you can't see the light directly coming from the unit which is good but that little lip makes positioning the HUD perfectly so that all of the projection is seen very hard.

As far as the film goes, I am not a fan. It actually has adhesive on it. Pretty annoying to get right. And I know what you are thinking... just don't use the film. Well our glass is that antishatter glass so the projection makes a double image reflecting off both layers in the glass. That's why you need the tinted film. May be easy to just get some from walmart or something if you find you don't like the one they provide you with.

NIGHT SHOTS ARE COMING!!!!

From outside the car, does the display shine through? How noticeable is that?

Thanks for all the information man.

Sorry it's a little shaky. It's the best I could do. I set the RPM indicator at 4500 so you could see what that looks like and the over speed at 50mph.

lol idk but i know you can set the shift indicator to stop lighting up after a certain RPM. Maybe you can set speed that way too. I usually set RPM to right before redline and set overspeed to 100mph.

thanks for the pic and vid!

sadly, I think that tinted strip thing would kill it for me. Just seems so out of place and tacky

Yea I'm not too crazy about the tint piece of film but the more I see it in action the more I'm considering it. Aside from aesthetics...this serves no real purpose...but it does look cool...

if you use your own anti-static cling film you could probably put it up with out any bubbles and also you could cut down on the size so that JUST the area that is being used is on your windshield

I think that possibly a clear cling film might even work... anything to get rid of the double image. But I'll look into that later. Also, noticed that around 70mph HUD reads higher than actual speed (about 3-4mph). I think it might have to do with adjusting the "speed time ratio" but I don't really know what it means. The directions are kinda unclear as to what adjusting the ratio does. I emailed the company to see what the fix will be.

^^^ rims/tires (if your car comes with 17" 235/40/ and you put on 18" with low profiles or wider than needed then it throws your speedo off....

you would need to calibrate the speedo....I dont know how to do it, but i know you can throw your speedo by as much as 4-5%....so at 30mph it will show your 31.5mph....and at 70 it will show you 73.5mph....

I'm riding on stockies so I've never had to recalibrate. On the HUD I can adjust from (00 to -15) and the HUD comes standard set at -06. IDK what this means though

Update: Got an email telling me the speed ratio can be adjusted to match the cluster speed as I thought. So when I calibrate it correctly I'll let everyone know the proper setting so that we don't all waste time doing trial runs. (Although most of you don't ride stock anyways)
