you should try keeping the 2 bars with a smaller emblem then move the entire piece higher, as of now it looks like saggy tits

Props to you Defcon for the effort...But really not feeling this. Best result would just be to black it out and build an outer frame. Like has been said already center A is just to big and the rest as we have concluded just doesn't fit. Again props to you for giving it a go.

IMO, the first pic looks pretty good but for the gap between the hood and grill. The last one with the higher bar looks okay too, but it looks too empty, and that is what makes the A seem oversized.

I'll trace out the frame tonight like the TL and cut it out. Then use hot glue temporarily until I can do plastic welding this weekend

Some reference.

I'll fix that upper gap somehow. I like the last one but its missing the frame and background grill. There's no depth to it which makes it look awkward.

Should I add those rectangle things inside of the middle grill on both sides? If so, I'd have to lose the chrome entirely and respray it silver. I can probably use L brackets or bend abs plastic to make those shapes.

I thought the point was to be custom. Looks like you are just making a rj grille except 4839574x the amount of work.

blacked out doesn't work unless you make the mesh silver/chrome. you need the contrast. though i do agree, its oversized. A for effort. keep on tryin buddy

ya i know. i'll black it out anyways just to see how it looks like.

IMO, it doesnt really look oversized in person.

it really needs a frame though. would love to get my hands on a used 09-10 outer grill.

It is custom, RJ grill doesnt exist. IF RJ wants to make design concepts and then abandon them then fuck em, that shouldnt mean that noone else can attempt a similar design.

Theres obviously a demand, but if no vendor wants to do it then all we have left is to try it ourselves, a lot of work would be involved regardless

props to defcon for the effort this requires

this build is gonna be awesome....

the first pic in the set of 4:
if the top grill gets a little more flush with the hood
the lower grill needs a little more dremel IMO

in the last pic:
looks PRIME...it looks like the RJ grill....but if your going with something unique I would go with the first pic

you have great skills bro....said it before and dont mind saying it again....

im really liking the first pic after i photoshopped it. even with the chrome/silver.

im going to reuse some of the MDX grill to fill in the upper gap of the hood. if that doesnt work, i can try the home depot lip/garage liner to fill in that gap.

yes the lower grill will definitely be dremeled more to fit the original shape of the TSX. i just really ran out of time thats why i stopped at that shape.

the last pic definitely does look like the ronjon grill because of the higher position. its going to get closer once i get more time this weekend

thanks. again you guys can learn this from www.fiberglassforums.com

here's something even cooler. i started dremeling my airsoft guns to put in real steel .22 caliber rifles inside. some airsoft guns are plastic and metal. i pay like $50-$100 for used or broken guns. gut out the shell. dremel the inside. layer epoxy putty or expanding styrofoam to fill in the gaps. end result a $300 custom .22 caliber.

Here's my videos explaining what i did

Man u got some big elephant testies to be modifying guns. Aren't you afraid of misfires, heat extortion, longevity and safety? May be wrong here but I know in Florida you need a license in order to mod manufactured guns?

still not done yet. i still need to find the mesh. but i was able to use the 11' oem outer grill. probably would be nice if it was as thick as the 09-10 outer grill.

the mdx grill is still not done yet. i trimmed the bottom a bit more. i still need to tint everything with black chrome probably next weekend. ive added some home depot garage weather stripping on the top. but im still figuring out how to mount it since its made out of rubber. not sure if im gonna use some epoxy adhesive or tapping screws.

ronjon style

Just leave it open on the RJ style and do a custom CAI that comes straight to the front of the grille. LIKE right behind the big A! legit? YESSS!

ORRRR use plexiglass with drilled holes instead of mesh.

To be completely honest, i can only see this getting better looking but not actually good looking. no matter what way you look at it or present it, that A is way too big. if you fill in those gaps to distract from the A, it'll be too busy. I don't see a way where this could work.

Really though, i give you props for the effort. This is just my honest opinion.
