The pink sticker isnt that bad as long as you don't do the one on the edge...

and yea ^^ tire places scratch rims a lot... it's annoying as fuck. I always stand in the shop and watch them work (if they let me, most of the time they do)

Yep.... ghetto Mexican place. Everyone I asked recommended that place cause it was cheap, but I guess you get what you pay for Not too bothered by it, by the time I got home with the wheels I was tired and just said fuck it and put them on. I'll touch them up some other time

They also scratched the faces of my stocks like this.....
MC's Progress Thread-yuofnfdl.jpg

They also somehow managed to lose both sets of valve stem caps.... can someone post a pic of their oem plastic caps? They just dug through this pile of shit and gave me 2 sets I picked out....

Lol I know, but I wanna see if I got the OEM set back or not. Doesn't really look like it to me though. Running the metal Chrome set atm, but I've heard some things about them interfering with the TPMS. And yeah, they fucked up pretty bad... That's not even all of it, I just took pics of the major parts

That place looks ghetto as fuck... Not sure how you can trust a place that looks like that with your car (wheels).

I didn't trust them with my car lol. I asked my buddy who recently got a new set of tires from there and he said they just used an impact to tighten the lugs on and I was like nope. I'm OCD as fuck about torque specs and shit. Then another buddy with a CU2 said that they just run the lugs on with an impact and have stripped something 4/5 times he was there which was an even bigger nope. So I took the wheels from my Ody, put em on the TSX, took my stockies off and transported both sets there. Definitely a lesson learned about that place lol.... Next time, Imma just suck it up and pay more for a decent job.

I guess if you need to change your flat tire and put on a spare your sol? Those hand tightening torque specs doe. Haha

yeah I never impact my lugs... especially on my muteki lugs they're pretty garbage... hand tightening to spec and the key is already starting to deform

ugh fuck, you seemed okay about the damage in your posts lol, but after seeing these pics and me imagining the wheels being mine, I would've definitely went off on them. Sure mistakes happen... maybe if you put on 1 or 2 different scratch marks. But wtf! It's like they've been curbed multiple times! and icing on the cake they lost your valve stem covers...

I paid my tire mounting place $80 without installation onto the car. Saw many M3s, GTRs, Silvias (which are not common in Canada) and felt pretty assured the place would be legit

Did you get at least some sort of compensation/discount afterwards? I would've been furious!

Nope, they had signs and shit saying they aren't responsible for damage and he asked me before they did it if I wanted to go ahead and have them do it cause they can't guarantee it'll be perfect. I figured it couldn't be too bad as my friends with legit wheels have come here before.

It's probably not their fault, they probably have used tools that have worn over the years and expect most people have steelies/industrial wheels so there's no point in investing in new tools.

Have ever put a tire on a wheel? You have to rub metal on metal to get the tire on. So you can see if you don't have updated tooling it could cause problems...

No it's just carelessness. If you do it properly the front of the rim won't get fucked up

Actually, I have and you CAN do it without scratching the rim. They could've at least had a piece of rubber/foam or w/e on the head. They were just careless even though I was standing there watching them

IDK if you guys remember when I first put on my wheels but there was white powder shit all over them, they prob used that to help prevent scratches. Plus, I was watching them the whole time and they were working slow and real carful

You just have to screw them on... If you're getting a mount I don't see why they wouldn't screw something on for free.

Yeah.... the ghetto place I went to charged me extra for it and for some odd reason I went ahead with it anyways... Sucks to not have a class with all these tools anymore... or else I would've done it myself

wide angle with slight turn in of the wheel makes your wheel arch look messed up in that pic lol. how you liking the outcome? looks exactly like how you shopped it hahah

oh btw, you're running no center caps right... is the exposed part of your hub rusting? I wanna take my caps off but don't want rust

Came out just as I liked it, only thing was the longer decal on the lip should've been slighly curved, but I'm not too bothered by it. And I'm only not running ceter caps because I only got 3 with the wheels lol. My buddy has a set for me, I just have yet to get them from him
