Last year I made several attempts to buy this from Ling's even adding additional parts to the order to bring down the per part shipping cost; it still came in ~£180 each. The other day I recieved an email from Ling's indicating that 2 north american buyers got them without paying the full shipment charge because the dispatch department screwed up. You got a good deal my friend and you deserve it for all that you have purchased from them.

very classy

the lip is growing on me. if i were to get that lip, i would fill up the holes with fiberglass or bondo. IMO looks cleaner without the holes

i found a full type S kit (front lip, sides, rear lip) for $300 USD. however shipping is a whopping $500 USD via DHL. its from china and made in polyurethane.

sandy is the sales manager so you will have to send an inquiry and she'll respond back with the price

its $300 USD for the full type s kit including the spoiler.
$500 USD shipping to USA or $450 USD shipping to Australia

if you go through them, please let us know your experience with them. im hesitant to buy it off them because of their shipping price via DHL. i guess im saying i dont want to be a guinea pig. hehe

thanks for the link defcon. good research you're doing there.

Two things I noticed right away on the jcsportline kit I'm not a big fan of.
First, the rear piece looks like a skirt, not a full bumper like the genuine TypeS kit. You can see the crease of where the skirt joins the stock bumper in one of the pics. Also, the rear skirt looks like it flares out at the bottom too much compared with the real kit.....sides and front look good but I'm going to have to look into this a bit further. I see you're on OZhonda too! Those euro forums have some pretty nice rides on there.

furythree did all the research from ozhonda. he bought a mugen kit from jc spec. yea the rear is an actual lip instead of a full bumper which i liked. also the rear has a different design and is bulkier. the front lip is a bit bigger compared to an authentic front lip.

Ahh loving the the lip and rims! Those pictures are starting to make me favor the lip over the Acura front underbody spoiler, and it is cheaper

Thanks.

I got the 19" from the UK also, just happened to stumble on a clearance from Lings (Wheels and Yokohama Advan Sports tyres) for less than $1600 plus shipping last year.

Unfortunately on the lips spoiler/front skirt, if you read through the thread especially forum member whatarussh, you will see that Lings had made a mistake on shipping charges on two North American customers (I'm one of them). Actual shipping charge can be anywhere from $350-$1000. I just lucked out with another forum member ImpressInk and paid only $65 to get the lip spoiler shipped all the way from England.

Modulo/sport sides vs typeS sides

I was looking over pics of the different side skirts more closely and I noticed the front of the euro/JDM typeS side skirt doesn't raise up vertically like the Modulo/sport one does. Personally, I think the euro/JDM look is a bit cleaner.

I agreed, however, the cost of importing the Type S side skirt is more than double what I can purchase from the local dealer for the Modulo/Sports skirts.

I cant put pictures in threads? dont know why. In my Garage are some pics of my Euro TypeS. There you can see the TypeS sideskirts. They are modified a little by myself, so they look much better then Orig, for my opinion. Will look for better pics if needed. If I can help someone with Euro parts, I will try!

I know you said you checked out speedstar in Toronto already before. When I called them the other day they confirmed that the sides are $695 Canadian. I don't know how much shipping to BC would be though.

so i was reading in the other forum and this member with a 1st gen bought this same style grille for the 1st gen (forgot what its called, module or something?) and he was able to alter the H into an A by covering the center with a carbon fiber piece from dragonplate .com so u cant see the H anymore then put the A over it.

reason i said that because i remmber you saying a while back that you bought an A emblem and want to see if you can fit it over it, seeing that u havent, jsut wanted to give u a suggestion as well as other members who might be interested to do a conversion on their on if marcus from heel toe couldnt provide the grille with the A for us.

Thanks Ed. I was thinking along the same line, but ran out of time. Bought an A emblem for a TL but it turned out to be too small. Will look at getting one from a MDX and cut a piece of plastic or a piece of CF over the H.

Ithink I do the same as you mean on my car, right now.
I want a red backgrond an a black H for my grille, I cant find nowhere such an H, so I do it myself. I took the chrome H out of my grille already. Now got a Aluminiumsheet 0,7mm, paint it red . The H covering with black vinyl. Now I have to get it on the same size as my H. then stick all together with some glue. For you, take instead of my H your A. The good thing is you can choose every colour combination you like!

I´m not satisfied with my paint and vinyl job. will post picture of my grille when its finished!

They are OEM accessory rims for the Civic Type R in Europe, the Rage rims are made by Sppedline of Italy for Honda.
