exhaust installed

got the custom exhaust from a local shop, i was also able to recycle my magnaflow 14851s race mufflers from my A4. for some reason, the exhaust on the tsx is louder than on the audi when in fact the shop did almost same setup.anyways, im liking it.

next mod: awaiting the cai and springs from cte

I think the tips stick out just a 'little' too far. But otherwise, that looks pretty damn nice.

+1 on the tips sticking out a bit far. but nevertheless it looks good. any gains? how did they do it as in did they still have the OEM cats in or is a test pipe set up? definitely have to post some vids of it.

How do u post vids? The custom pipes start from the end of the single pipe up to the mufflers. I don't think there is hp gain but I've noticed my mpg dropped, probably from loving the sound too much ;-) only paid 100 installed. I think I like the tips sticking out coz 1. It's enough to show the magnaflow insignia 2. Smoke won't get to my bumper later on. Anyway, Is it really that bad?

No, it's not a matter of bad or good, I understand not wanting soot on your bumper. My other car has no cat and with the 4" exhaust, I have to clean the bumper allll the damn time.

My only thoughts on the tips is catching, bumping or burning my leg or someone else's if they stand too close, ya know?

I wouldn't go as far as saying it looks bad. I like the tips, but definitely agree they could probably sit in a little more to be more concealed. The shot you took looking down... I would say barely sticking out, flush with the bumper would be ideal. Cant wait to see your ride lowered.

Ok. Haha. It's 100 because I was able to use my muffs from my last car. The 100 is for the y pipes, weld and labor.

From personal experience on previous exhausts that stuck out a little, watch out for your legs...my buddy and my wife both have permanent burn scars on their legs because they were getting something out of the back and brushed up against the hot-asz tips.

that's probably the reason why the tsx is louder than the a4 even though I removed the resonator on the a4.

Only thing I missed on the a4 is the turbo

Usually I'd agree with you, there are exceptions though. My twin turbo inline 6 with no cat & 4" exhaust sounds like a tugboat.
