The Dark Knight Rises...

I have found some spare time among school, work, volunteering to work on my car. I just recently got some new tires. Went from Falken Ziex 912 225/45/18 to Hankook Ventus V12 Evo 235/40/18. I had some major tire wear in the inside of my tires since my alignment and toe were off. But the Falken's have lasted me about 2 years. I love the Hankooks though.

I also painted my calipers black since you know they aren't BBK. I used to have red calipers on my old ride but I guess just got older. At the same time installed Ichiba 15mm spacers for the rear tires and considering getting 20mm for the rear and moving the 15mm to the front. Also planning to get the Ingalls camber kit for my rear tires since I kinda want my tires to last.

I've recently began experimenting with plast-dip. My first run was with the window and door trim. I messed up a little bit since i pulled the newspapers away to fast which ripped some of the plasti-dip off the trim. Thankfully, this stuff is awesome and I just peeled it off. One thing I can say is that you have to prep your stuff well before you do this. Patience is key. I got some spray that got on the paint but this stuff comes off easily with no damage to the paint.

I did my rims, well two of them since I currently only plasti-dipped one half the car to see which one I like. I did the index card method which made my life easier. Anyways enough of me talking and here are the pictures

But yeah. Tell me what you guys think? Back to what it used to be or like how it is now.

The car looks stunning from all angles. Amazing ride.

I love both the regular and the plasti-dip rims. Tough choice!

Props bro for putting in all that work. I think the door handles and trim look great, but I liked the wheels before the plastidip. It doesnt look terrible, I just like the old look more.

I liked the rims before since they provided some contrast unless you fully going for the murdered out look then I believe you have achieved that

Great writeup. Like both black and normal wheel as well as the black caliper. I have 15mm Ichiba front and rear, actually thinking about 20mm for rear also.

Have a Great Lunar New Year tomorrow.

nope, just used caliper spray paint. plasti dip would probably melt with all that heat.

don't do the acura vinyl. It makes it look corny since its not true BBK. if you look on the 1G TSX section, I remember seeing someone doing that and it just looks weird

I still compare to you defcon rollin on two different sets of rims when you had em lol.

Well after a week of use with my initial job, it held up pretty well. it does feel weird in comparison to have it painted.

Impressive. I would have liked to see the center caps and lugs blacked out as well.

Like someone else said, they both look good. Hard to decide, but actually it's not so bad having two sides different. Nobody can see both sides at the same time.

Happy Lunar New Year to everyone as well. May the Year of the Rabbit bring you prosperity and good health, more CU2 mods, and more enjoyment out of your car!

I don't like the murdered out look but the rims look much better after the dip.

Happy new years!

I still like the classic look. The murdered out look is just not my style. Whatever makes you happy is all that matters since its your car

I love the murdered out look. I thought about doing that but with some RJ's. Great job with the spray on the handles. Let us know how that continues to hold up. Still think the wheels look great original but looks good all black too. Great Job.

Great job!! I'm loving the car fully blacked out - looks 'stealthy'. That's the look I would've went for if I was getting my CU2 in black.

^ Agreed! I think the car looks great either way , just for different reasons.

With the light rims and chrome trim/handles, it was more upscale and the contrast looked good. Now it's more sporty and sleek, but lost some of its elegance.

I'm generally sick of the murdered-out look and "over it" but your car looks awesome that way. Thumbs up for full black-out on your CU2.

Great mods and a lot of hard work, but I prefer the rims before the treatment. I like contrast and the rims provided just enough. Still, bad-ass ride.

DO NOT PLASTIDIP THE HUB PART OF THE RIMS. I'm sure you can figure out why.

nIcely done...
I liked the wheels before you painted them, but they obviously look great now too.
I'm biased though as I have the "murdered" out look, myself.

Im wondering if I should go to the meet with both my murdered out and my normal look or go clean with no plasti dip
