Cristian Canibeat's Mugen Inspired CU2 Gallery Page
Hey guys! I am new to this forum but I've been lurking for a good 2 years now. I originally purchased the car (2013 SE) with plans of just keeping it stock but boy did that change quickly! I think what first motivated me to keep going was luckily getting my hands on the entire Mugen kit (yes including the RARE wing!!) and bagging it. Once that was purchased I quickly started just buying parts. My set of wheels were flat face TE37s which I later sold because I finally was able to find a BNIB concave set. I have a TON of photos of the process but I will try not to bore you guys. Enjoy.
When my Mugen kit and Airlift kit arrived!
Stock SE kit and air ride.
Bye bye chrome trim.. thanks Nick Kraft!!!! Picked up the flat ace TEs locally for a good price but they came in orange... not my taste
Stickers off...
Thanks Ravspec for the stickers!
Freshly painted!
Spoon calipers... I was running H&R spacers for the flat face TEs to make them sit flush BOOM!!!!!!!!
My flat face TEs I had on for only two shows (FCF16 and H2oi) Another picture with the flat face TEs and the bike rack... that look didn't last long though
All things Mugen
Mugen goodies
My concave TEs!
<3!!!!!! CT Engineering Ice Box
RV6 Race header and high flow cat.. purchased slightly used off the CU2 Squad FB group
Close up!

COMING SOON: Mugen MS-Z seats, Honda Spirior LED tail lights in Dark Chrome (Type S) and Custom Bixenon Headlights (black housing) from Ratchet Racing.

Car looks good, however, what did you black out all the trim with? The one picture of the Honda badge on the back, the now-black trim looks rather rough.
The car came together very nicely, with some rather pricey goods on it. Do you have a hook up for getting Magen parts, or did you pay retail for it all? Either way, daaaaamn.
I kept thinking the car would look better with red painted door handles, but I dunno... The black seems to work. Which is funny, because I normally hate black handles on a car.., just screams base model... But somehow it works here. You broke and remolded the rules for car looks!!!

The Mugen parts are some what hooked up and not.. just depends what parts. The kit was retail where as my seats (coming soon) were at cost from my plug haha! Accessories are all retail from either HMO or ICB.
According to my painter painted door handles wouldn't of been a good idea (or maybe even possible). Plus I took inspiration from this:

Dudeeeeeee no way! Two totally different cars. No chrome trim, Mugen wing, meaty/track stance vs VIP stance and I believe he doesn't have the Mugen sides or rear. But yes from front straight on view maybe :P

Yup!! Not only that but my painter said it wouldn't hold up that well. I am in LOVE with my vinyl wrap. I am actually going in tomorrow to get the rear diffuser part of the mugen rear, the top part of the wing and part of my grill wrapped black. Cannot wait.

Its been a long time coming haha!

More black vinyl added to my car today
So today I went to see Nick Kraft again and got the top part of my Mugen grill, the top part of my Mugen spoiler and the bottom section of my Mugen rear lip wrapped in gloss black. Here are some pictures I took. I cannot wait for my seats, headlights and tail lights to get here!!!

Maybe it's just me, but I can't help but think that the grill would look so much better if the Mugen badge was located off to one side. Either one, really. It's just a weird looking logo to have in the center.

Said old build:
HA!! My tuner keeps egging me on to do that! Once I get my seats, lights and possibly a new set of wheels and MAYBE a color change I will travel that route. My car needs it :P Need to do some research on the best kit first.

Truthfully I go back and forth on it but I've had a few people reach out to me just out of "curiosity" and then go out and completely get my exact setup to a tee. I did a lot of research, measurements and trail/error (which even meant me buying my first set of TEs just to have a good starting point) to get it to sit and fit exactly how I want it. If there are going to be cars that have my same exact fitment and stance I'd rather them figure it out. That's how I feel.
