09 Grigio Metallic painted grill

My buddy at the body shop painted the emblem body colored too, didn't know he was going to, didn't really think about it. I love it!

Gorgeous. Not sure about the emblem being body colored though, but you can't really tell in the pics.

Get some pics from further away and at an angle.

Nice job though, glad to see more people following suit.

I like the body colored, think i am going to remove the acura and tsx emblems from the trunk, and maybe have the rear one painted too. BF wants me to get black chrome emblems, but have to find them

Looks really nice, changes the looks completely. I sure wish MN would do away with the front license plate, it looks even better without that stubbing the front! Tell you BF to buy the house across the street and put his camaro in that garage so you can put your baby away for the night!

CA requires the front plate too, we just havent put the plates on the car yet, so he took off the bracket in the meantime. yeah that house and the one next door to it are for sale. I'm telling you, if he had more garage space i still wouldnt get to park in it, he would just buy more cars (like he wants to eventually get an integra type R). He would also say that he needed "work space". butthole. lol

It's amazing how a painted grille improves the look of the TSX front end

hey that looks really good! sounds like you may decide to customize your car more so keep up posted. Black is still the best paint match color though

I will, and I think it looks great in Grigio Metallic. It looks awesome in black too, but I won't but another black car. Did it once, never again, you can see EVERYTHING!

the BF takes care of my car for me, and he is really anal when it comes to detailing, and black is not a color he enjoys dealing with. I like silver, gray, white (esp pearlescent white). but when taken care of (like your car) black looks awesome!

If your BF really took care of your car, he would let you park it in the garage! Don't give up on that effort!

Amen brutha

I have two NBPs, at one time I had three black cars (two in garage, one outside)...luckily I used to detail cars for extra cash in college, so my black babies usually look perdy

I like it. I need to lease a new car with in the next week.
I can't decide if I want the Grigio or Black. Did you notice that the color is a little more brown in sunlight than it looks in the showroom?

I don't see a whole lot of brown to the color, maybe a little bit, nothing noticable. I love the color, I think its great. When its clean it is really sparkly and it looks great. Sport bumper getting put on this weekend, and the bf is supposed to detail my car, can't wait!

Sport bumper is on, and rear emblems are off. Still waiting for the detail (tomorrow maybe?)

looks good! can you take a side profile pic? and maybe a front 3/4 shot as well? I want to see how the front bumper lines up with the rest of the car w/o the sideskirts

yup, give me a min. i think what makes it look ok without the sideskirts and the sport rear bumper is the splash guards, they break up the line of the car.

I like the painted emblem, I think I am going to have the back one painted as well. But I can understand it is one of those things not everyone will like (but pretty much everything can be that way right?)

looks real good man except the painted emblem doesnt do it for me. you should get the full aero kit so the lines of the front bumper flow with the rest of the car.

I don't really like the rear aero bumper, maybe eventually, but i like it the way it is. I think all i am going to do for now is tint the windows, clear bra the front bumper and grill and paint the rear emblem to match the front (i know some people dont like it, but i do). oh and the bf has to install my sub. thats it for now.

Really? I actually like the rear the best of the kit. The stock rear is far too boring.

BTW, you may not need a clear bra. My painted grill has held up for almost 5 months now with not a single rock chip. Just a little peace of mind in case you were on the fence about getting it. I personally am not a fan of the clear bra because I've always thought that the rock marks the bra takes actually look worse than if the bumper took it directly and you just filled it with touch-up paint. Plus I've seen them fade and turn yellowish after a few years.

Thanks, that gives me something to think about. If i do it, it will have to be lifetime warrantied.
And I actually like the rear bumper, simple and clean (esp without the rear emblems)

I have a couple of questions: How much did you pay for the sport bumper? Does it come already painted body color?

I'm thinking about doing the same to my car.

I got a good deal on mine, i had a connection (but i have seen the same price online, i just didnt have to worry about shipping). they do come painted body color, if you look at one of the parts websites (even the acura estore) they will give you a part number, that number is color specific.

I have the Venture Shield Bra and it's been known not to have that "orange peel" effect. It also comes with a lifetime warranty. I've heard the latest 3M films also are no longer having the fade anymore either. I do mostly freeway driving and my last car which was an 08 accord didn't have the clear bra and it had dozens of hits, (including the grill and big H emblem in front) and it was not pretty at all.

I spoke to the bf's dad (he knows the guys at the shop who will do my tint and clear bra) and he said the clear bra is lifetime warrantied, he's just not sure how much they are going to charge for the sport bumper...maybe he will find out when he takes my car down to get the windows tinted (not sure when, but easier for him, he works in sac).

I prefer a stock grill except for black TSX but the bumper looks great did you installed that by your self? One more how much did you pay for that bumper I was thinking of buying one like that just for the front.
