Tsudo Cat-Back? O_o
so im sure most of you guys are aware of the Tsudo Cat-Back system that is now available for our 2g's....my question is this...has anyone installed this cat-back as of yet? if so i would love to see a vid of how it sounds...my youtube results proved futile.... also, discussion...how do you guys feel about a $500 cat-back system? im afraid it will sound ricey....the tips looks a tad too big for my taste but i could live with...it does have a resonator....but if it sounds too loud a vibrant ultra quiet would probably do the trick...what do yall think? cause $500 is tempting...lot cheaper than the Fujitsubo... for the record ill never spend more than 1k on an exhaust...ill get it custom made before that...lol but this Tsudo one seems like it has potiential..

Someone on here and tsxclub (same guy) bought and installed the Tsudo. AFAIK they said the welds look good and overall doesn't seem to be of cheap construction. It should be in one of the exhaust threads....

I have it installed on my 2012 wagon. It is a bit loud, but not ricey. I am very happy with it so far, and i am trying to put together a video for everyone here so you guys can hear it, but with a newborn it is very difficult for me to do so....still trying though lol

that's awesome man! is there any drone? i see plenty of extra pipe in there where an extra resonator could be added if desired....
also, you said it was a bit loud...did you also install the test pipe? or leave your secondary cat in? i think i would not install the test pipe if i got it...that would prob make it quiter

I have the full system installed so the secondary cat is deleted. There is some drone down low but nothing crazy, and while cursing there is no drone at all....and there is more than enough room to add another resonator. For $500 i figured it couldn't go wrong since the only other options are north of $1000+

Dude
im not well versed with tsudo as a brand - i came from the subaru world. are they a reputable company or are they an "ebay-company" type of deal?
but i'm still holding out for rv6 to get an exhaust for ours.

i think they deal mainly through ebay, but they are located in california. when i googled the brand, a lot of the si civic crowd liked tsudo so i felt a little safer with the gamble. So far so good....fingers crossed

There is no exhaust leak...I have gone through the system a few times checking all the bolts. The whistle comes from the hps intake and the resonator removal. Sounds deeper in person...oh well lol

i think it sounds pretty good...not bad...and to answer your question Dave_88...i have had a Tsudo product before...my wife used to have an 09' corolla type S and she had me order her a Tsudo axle-back for it...and it sounded good...we have since sold the corolla...thinking about using that muffler on her 99' prelude...just cut and weld...but yes i have heard of them and used their products before....reason i was skeptical is because there is a big difference between a corolla and a tsx lol...but i think it sounds good for that price...

Looking at the exhaust, it really is nice for the price.
Comparing it to the oem exhaust, that tiny little y branch is ridiculous.

From the eBay ad
The Tsudo 09-14 Acura TSX Sp2 Catback Exhaust features a 70mm / 2.75in diameter piping with a 115mm / 4.5in diameter exhaust tip. Also has a Dual 60mm / 2.36in piping for unrestricted flow after the Y split connection, coming from a Testpipe secondary cat delete to regulate rasp. With a perforated core straight-through muffler design for smooth, unrestricted performance.

sorry been lazy this weekend...im gonna get yall a video soon though ahahhaha....and to answer your question ayeextommyy.....yes it will make it louder.... a friend of mine took flowmaster 40's and chopped off his stock mufflers and welded those in....sounds like crap imo....my buddy even told me that mine sounds cleaner...

The stock piping is small as hell, probably has a horrible transition to the flowmasters.
I'm running a single flowmaster, but I have 3" all the way back.
I'm considering a varex system for mine later this summer though.
I'm getting a second project off the ground right meow though...

So I installed the test pipe after not being able to loosen the bolts after the 2nd cat. Salt and snow isn't very friendly up here.
A few notes on the hardware I received. The gaskets work fine, but I found the bolts to be too short for the mid pipes. They worked to connect the 2nd muffler on as the flange is thinner there. I ended up buying 2" long bolts to have enough thread to bolt up the mid pipe. Both tips also rub the bumper cutouts. Tried bending the hangers with no luck. Will try some heat tape to save my bumper for now.
But I'm loving the tone. It's deeper and a bit louder in real life.

I would agree fitment of the mufflers is a little eh on mine left is a little lower than I would like. I also noticed the bolts were short a smidgen but that is an easy fix. I did not use the cat that came with it want it and love the sound. other than the little problems I was surprised how thick all the metal was hangers are massive compared to some exhaust I have used before.

So I ended taking off the test pipe and put the OEM 2nd cat back on. Just way too much noise and drone in the cabin for the wife and kid, stop light to stop light and even just tapping the gas pedal cruising on the highway.
It's a deep tone that resonates. Reminds me of the F Sport exhaust on the 1st gen IS250/350's.

Dude
very surprised (in a good way) of how this sounds. thanks for the video.
if you don't mind, could you do a driving video. the exhaust tone will sound slightly different under load.
