RV6P turbo kit?!

Looks promising! Hopefully they just removed the strut bar temporarily for room to work. Any more details you could share Rich? I for one am very excited to see some turbo support from a reputable company. If their kit is of the same quality my PCD was when I got it then this will be a great kit.

Saw this on fb... It really just looks like the turbo was placed at the back of the bay and a picture taken lol

Nonetheless, just a photo-op to tell people you're working on a new project.

I'm sure that his kit will be great.

The issues I've ran into with mine, this picture just fills me with an overwhelming sense of meh. If they mount the turbo like that, their kit is going to look very much like Utah's kit, which if you ask Utah, he would not run a kit like that again. The way that mine is set up, is the way to go.

All I need is my mechanic to fing finish it up.

useless unless 09-10 tsx. no tuning for 11+. no tuning means turbo is useless/

where is a simple catback/ something people might actually buy.

client: I've been asking for a reasonable cat back exhaust.

answer: No one will buy it.

So, the next logical leap is: make a turbo kit!

I'm still wanting to get mine done. The excitement wears off, and it's just reality now.

I hope the cars paint hasn't gotten too faded sitting outside. I have never left it outside more than a day. It should be almost done, just lacking a cat back, and the catalytic convertor to be welded into the down pipe, that is the only outstanding issue.

I can confirm that RV6 has recently acquired a 2009 TSX 6MT as thier new shop car and a dyno. I can also confirm that the turbo is all bolted up and not just sitting in the engine bay...

The turbo is attached to custom cast stainless manifold. The angles have been optimized for clearance and fitment. We will have more detail up soon.

We have the tubing for the exhaust systems bent and sitting on the shelf. Once we finish some existing projects it will be fully focused on the TSX.

Richie: You guy's almost have an exhaust?

Is it single or dual?

Are all the pipes decided on? If so, What would you think about selling just the unwelded parts?

Admittedly, the meh feeling mentioned earlier has to do with my issues, my mechanic, and not so much the product being presented.

My public apology.

I just didn't think that a kit made for the car would run into a multi month more or less hang up. It has been trying as hell to not just part it out so that I can drive my car again.

It's pretty fing embarrassing at the end of the day.

It will be a dual system 2.5" tuned to work rasp free with a the PCD we make. Right now its just 2 mandrel bent pieces of stainless tube.

You have nothing to be sorry about it. It was a vague picture to get people talking.

In this world everything takes multi months. That's why I don't like to give estimated dates. There are so many things out of your control

We are mocking up with a 62626, Precision makes two T3 turbine frames we will be supporting. Both externally wastegated. This pretty much covers 300-900WHP with options for journal or ball bearing.

EFR turbos are great however they are over priced and overkill for what we are trying to accomplish. A smaller size journal bearing turbo will have great response at half the cost. Anymore than 400WHP and reliability becomes a issue and you will be spending more that 3x the cost of the turbo setup to hold the power reliably. This is where most people run out of funds and give up. We are looking to build a affordable and reliable kit with realistic goals.

Richie, Since you have a chassis, could you churn out a 3" single exit exhaust for me? SS, and shipped down to the house?

Please.

Ditto!

I want single exit mandrel bent but don't know if 3" will be too big b4 running boost (via supercharger or now maybe turbo). But I want it anyway!! Money talks.. Let me know how much I need to get the mouth moving

Pretty please with whip cream and a cherry on top.

Have you tried a bigger resonator?

Everything we make is setup for mass production. That way everything is tested before shipping. For the 2.5" exhaust tubing we had to get 30 sets made to get the price down to a reasonable level. I could make a single one off system however it might not sound right and wont be tested as well.

I'm kind of putting faith into the turbo and the cat quieting it down as much as possible...

I'm open to suggestions sir, I really am.

What about a 3 inch pipe, back to the Y? And then two 2.5"?

Could this be setup?

Anything is possible. My only concern using a 3" tube with the current flange. There really isn't enough meat for a good seal. We will most likely have to change flange shapes.

It's lower RPM 1500-2500 when the turbo spools up at 2500 it goes away
page 12 at the bottom I added one more resonator and wrapped all of the pipe and both resonators

Odd it would still drone. What RPM did it drone before the resonators.

Seems to be the same before and after just not as loud, I put a singel flowmaster muffler on before the magnaflow mufflers and it was even worse, the noise is in the back of the car trunk area ( dynamated it but helped very little )

Yes, most of the RDX owners have the stock turbo. I currently have an upgraded turbo. But, hoping a company could produce a turbo kit..
