Roof Spoiler

So I just ordered a roof spoiler on ebay and I was wondering why people taped it entirely over the roof spoiler when there is 3m tape underneath it. Is there a specific reason for it?

I think I know what you are talking about bro. I think ppl do that to ensure the tape behind the spoiler is securely attached. After a few days they take out tE outside tape and the spoiler should be firmly attached

You put tape on it to secure it, give the 3m tape like 24 hours to cure. Like for me when i was installing my roof spoiler, i had to curve it a little bit so it was aligned with with the roof and glass and to make sure that it didn't like straighten out and unstick durring the night i secured it with painters tape.

I put mine on with 3m window weld silicone. Held in place with masking tape for a few hours.

thats pretty extreme, but it is just for a few hours or overnight. its to help the spoiler stay in place while the 3M tape under the spoiler cures to the car, that way it definitely holds its shape
