check the part number for the throttle body unit and the intake pipe, if the part numbers match for the US version than no measuring is required! I dont think anyone knows the diameter off hand or will measure it unless a vendo knows

Only because they likely already have it installed and won't to take the measurement. Contact the vendor, best bet!

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I have asked P2R for the info but hadn't got a response yet.

I have been sent a part by P2R but it has a diameter that is approx 4-5mm bigger than my throttle body so it doesn't seem like the right part or my setup is different. The spacer I have has an inside diameter of 69mm. This is the second spacer I've been sent as the first one was an 06 TSX. This one I think might be the V6 one.

Ask Excllerate or Heeltoe or someone that sells them as a vendor on the site. They'll probably know.

Hey, not sure if you got an answer, but prob easiest to ask us on any questions on these, we got this part made for the TSX

The P2R spacer for the i4 inside diameter is just shy of 2 3/4"... 2 11/16" to be exact. If you need V6 measurements let us know too, we stock both heavily

Many thanks, my part is bigger than 2 11/16" but not by a lot. How big is the V6 one?

The other thing is my spacer came with a P118 gasket which is listed for the V6 and is exactly the same size as the spacer. Is this the same gasket that comes with the i4?

Regards,

David

I've been doing some more research and while I can't verify the part numbers my throttle body measures the same as what I have found for the 09+ TSX throttle body (64mm outlet size). Looking at photos of the intake manifold mine looks to be the same.

Measuring my intake manifold opening I get a measurement of 66mm so slightly bigger than the throttle body which seems ok.

My issue is the spacer I have been supplied is 69mm so the setup goes from 64mm (throttle body) to 69mm (spacer) and then down to 66mm (intake manifold) which seems a little odd to me.

For people who have installed the spacer on their cars, did the spacer seem roughly the same size as the intake manifold and throttle body or quite a bit larger?

I have emailed P2R and my vendor but no answer as yet..

regards,

David

David, I'd get in contact with your vendor (assuming by your comment that it was not us) to confirm that the correct part was ordered and shipped. Hope this helps! it also could be possible that there is a difference on the AUD version... but not sure on that.

Thanks, I actually got an update from P2R that I had the right part. I have since asked the question re the size stepping and is it expected.

dont mean to hijack this thread!
does the TB spacer really keep the TB cooler?? i just did the TB coolant bypass on my 2010 v6 and after a short drive the TB was HOT as F***! im guessing because of the intake manifold?

Yes, the TBS will help keep your throttle body cooler with the thermal gasket and increased space between the two. Of course it is a motor so thing will get hot and outside temps have a lot to do with it as well, but it definitely does help keep things cooler

PR2 have confirmed that the size stepping is normal for this model and was due to getting a reliable seal on the intake manifold.
