New ATLP grille and OEM trunk lip spoiler

So my car was in the body shop to have the front bumper repaired so I decided to purchase a new ATLP grille and lip spoiler. I had all the pieces painted to match my car and since I had it done along with the bumper I got a good deal. I've read other reviews on the ATLP grille and it's fitment issues but I bought it anyway. For it to be an aftermarket piece that's less than half the price of the original piece, I think it's acceptable. I'd give it a 7/10. The body shop commented that they had to do some mods to make it fit better. But onto the pics......

Yup, I had the shop do all the work. They already had to take the bumper off to respray it so they made the modifications necessary for the grille to fit as best it could then.

So I was washing my car the other day and realized one of the clips holding the wire mesh onto the grille has become unglued already. I must say I ignored the feedback I read here on the forum regarding the build quality of the ATLP grille and the poor fitment and bought it anyway. I have literally on driven my car 2 weeks since having the grille installed. Pretty disappointing construction if you ask me. Knowing what I know now I would have just bought the C-Mod grille and saved some money.

posted on the other site, but i'll post here as well

even though the quality isn't that great, i think it still looks better than the cmod grille.

as an ATLP grille owner for a few years now, here's a few tips:

- reinforce all the tabs with JB weld, you can get it at home depo for about 6 bucks and they are VERY strong.

- if the gap bother you as much as it bothered me, take the weather strip from the OEM grille and apply it onto the ATLP grille. may need some very minor cutting, i glued it with some weather proved clear silicon.

- do NOT lean on the grille, it WILL crack/break. if you have someone work on your car, make sure to tell them NOT to touch the grille, and tell them that it is VERY fragile.

- your grille mesh will probably be unhooked from your tabs over the course of ownership, so you just gonna have to pop it back in or find another way to secure it

- if you live in a bad area, your tabs will rust to hell
