Need some help with Pulleys

So i ordered the downpipe and the lightweight pulleys from throwdown, and i installed the downpipe no problem, and then today i gave it to the auto body shop down the street to put on the pulleys, and they said the belt was to big...because the pulleys were smaller no duh I was looking around here and ecko508 (also from MA who knew?) said that he had to alter the belt...I was wondering if anyone had any pictures or exactly what to do...im itching to get this done i just need some help! thanks guys!

The belt goes in the a/c pulley a different way it's the other way around I think... Someone correct me its a diffent pulley, it's been a while. I know this because I've been the tester for all the bolt ons ever made for a CU2.

I heard the same thing. Apparently the belt routes a different way, but it definitely fits.

Is it the stock belt? is it a different size? Because i called them today and they said that i needed to buy a different belt...is this true? Because no one said anything it doesnt say it anywhere on the website but at the installation page. which is bullsh#@ so did you use a stock belt?

It's the smaller belt that throwdown sells with the kit.

I haven't looked at Throwdowns site, is their pulley a inhouse piece or are they (is it) from Unorthodox Racing?

If you get the belt size, you *should* be able to pick it up at a regular auto parts store.

Here is a link to the pulley instructions, which have the belt size:

http://www.unorthodoxracing.com/guides/040603202.pdf

Check your belt part # against the #.

And for those of you looking to order this part here is our link:

Wow this was a longgggggg time ago.....Well i have them! They are sitting in the trunk of my car with a brand new belt....if you want them i would love to sell them for you for a lot cheaper than i bought them...I dont know if i want to risk putting them on and then having my car not start one day in the winter...idk still thinking about it

i think that most people have no problem with the pulley's. if i was in your shoes and had bought them, i would install them, just make sure its done right. or look into one of the applications where i think you only use part of the system or something. i wasn't paying THAT much attention when i read through the other thread. im sure heavyduty and the like would be willing to try and help you out. you may as well buy a car starter kit from costco for 60 bucks than eat the loss from selling them cheap. that way, if your car does die, its as simple as connecting 2 cables and turning a machine on, it'll recharge your battery for you without need of another car.

BUT. up to you. if your car does fail to start, don't call me to jump it! hahaha <3 vortex blue buddy though

The underdrive pulleys underdrive the accessories. If you are a large electrical draw, e.g. stereo system, then it isn't recommended you install the underdrive set. You would want the stock diameter set.
