More Torque?

What's the best way to get more torque?
Preferably low end torque.

Justin's right. Not a whole lot else you can do besides FI, nitrous, and displacement. Short of building an ultra high compression race gas engine, you're pretty much stuck with what you have.

Hey IHC, is that a GNX & is it yours on your avatar? I'm getting old, see the wheeels but can't see the fender vents.

Certain mods offer more HP at certain rpms, others torque, or there's a trade off of one or the other through the powerband. The only way to increase it significantly is listed above.

Not mine but it's a real GNX. Mine looked nearly identical even the uber expensive Simmons wheels before they got stolen. I have the fender flares and vents. All are functional. I was able to run a 275/40 up front and 295/50s out back without notching the frame. The torque is pretty insane, especially with only 3,000lbs to push. Burnouts at 70mph on street tire are pretty normal. It will literally pull harder from a 120mph roll than my TL will from a dead stop in 1st gear.

That's a friends car with a pass at Gainesville a couple weeks ago. He ran an 11.47 @121.9, on the brakes, no cage, got booted. Cage going in now, then hellllloooo 2 Bar. Precision turbo, I/C, downpipe, Moser M9..blah blah blah, around 700 wheel.

I woulda given either nut for a GNX in 1987...I was 20.
