HPS Short Ram Intake

I was on eBay and I saw this
http://www.ebay.com/itm/HPS-Short-Ra...4ac813&vxp=mtr

I really like the fact that it's a nice looking short ram and it comes in wrinkle black. I'm planning on going that route for my engine bay. Has anyone ever used an HPS product? Or know anything about their stuff?

Yeah I know they are good, but this looks like the same quality, if not even better. I like the heat shield look as well

Pretty sure that's what I had on my 05 (HPS) for like 100K trouble free miles (though the tube was polished aluminum, and it had a generic cone filter on it). I like the crinkle finish, and wouldn't hesitate to give it a try (actually, I may).

HPS has a pretty good rep on some other forums. I would totally try their products. A few of my friends have the HPS silicon intake tubes on their intakes and its great for keeping the heat down. I would probably try it if I was in the market for a new SRI. If not the HPS, I'd probably get the K&N typhoon

im sure ill get flammed for this but to me none of these aluminum intakes are going to be better than another and if they are its going to be minimal i would say get this then buy a nice filter. The filter is the main part of the intake a shitty filter on a name brand intake wont do that great i bet.

I agree, and since all any of them are really good for is looking and sounding cool (I don't buy the performance and mileage hype), I'm not opposed to using a cheaper alternative.
