So, thinking of removing the resonator when i take off my bumper tn. Anyone have any issues with water coming in to the intake? Probably gonna leave that piping in because i hate taking the battery out

This is a pretty old thread but I wanted to talk about my experience with removing the resonator. I took out only the resonator, but I left all the other pipes in, in case I didn't like the resonator delete and wanted to revert. But I won't be putting it back in, the sound is immensely better. IT's not too loud, but it's more aggressive. I only removed it for the sound, but I have to admit that I definitely feel the better throttle response and better acceleration in general. I drive my car somewhat aggressively and going from 20 mph to 80 mph is so much more satisfying. I expected NO performance gains and tbh I expected to lose power based on the research I did. But now I don't know, it can't be a placebo, because the difference is too great to be a placebo. The entire car just feels lighter at lower speeds. Definitely a great mod. Highly recommended.

speaking of DIY and increasing airflow: I cut out the fake vents near the foglights when I installed my intake and LED foglights. Took the bumper off and took a Dremel to it. Funny thing is that there are OEM directional vents/ deflectors in there to direct the air to the radiator. Its almost like they were going to make the vents functional but changed it last minute. Will post a pic if it stops raining.

The V6 fog light surrounds have the openings. They're stamped with the same manufacturer part number, so the I4 and V6 are the same part up until the V6 gets the additional operation to cut the plastic and then they get the different Honda part numbers.
