Brakes on a budget

Brakes on a budget
Anyone out there know of any calipers from another Honda/acura product that will fit the 2009+ TSX. Quite frankly these brakes suck and are so under powered it's pathetic. I've sunk cash into slotted rotors and better pads and still smoked 'em.
Do you realize they did not upgrade the brakes at all for the V6 model (my car).
I know I could shell out $3000 for a big brake kit but if I could rob another caliper from the Honda bin it would be way cheaper. I know my wife's 2009 Odyssey has dual piston calipers but the rotor is a 1/2 inch larger and I'm not sure about the bolt points.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

tires will play a greater role in stopping distances than pads or rotors.
you're also forgetting about brake bias.
the engineers came up with correct area of the piston and matched it with the brake master cylinder.
most people think by adding a caliper from a different car will improve braking; however most times that is not the case.
you will have better pedal feel but LONGER stopping distances.
this is why an aftermarket BBK is superior. Stoptech has done the math and have paired the perfect area of the rotor with the pistons.
slotted and drilled rotors dont really improve braking either...just mainly used for aesthetics.
an aggressive pad will have a stronger initial bite but if you do multiple long braking sessions, you will still reach fade.
you can fix fade by adding a larger area or rotor(BBK)
and you can also switch out the rubber brake lines for steel lines.
rubber lines swell under pressure = brake fade.
steel lines will not flex and will improve brake fade
hope this helps

If you're just looking for upgraded rotors and pads I would consider our XLR8 Acurazine Brake Packages.
