Baseline Dyno for Auto

This past Saturday, I attended a Dyno day that was held in South Florida. Found through this forum. There were definitely some sick cars like these two Civic Si Sedan that were boosted one of which was putting down 500+. I went to do a baseline dyno just to know where Im at since Temple of VTEC did one for the manual. Got it up on the dyno and sadly was not able to get a good run since the VSA kept on kicking in. So was not able to really dyno my car but I have the sheet and a vid of it. One of the guys said that he could take off the VSA fuse but it will throw an error code and he didn't have his tool to clear it so I will be getting a free dyno the next time I go back to South Florida. Anyways I was suprised with the numbers nevertheless since I expected it to be a lot lower.

The dyno sheet

Two vids

Did you try disabling VSA? Press and hold the VSA button thats near your left knee. I sometimes forget that button is there heh. Interesting the see the "lull" in power that I feel between 3250-3750 RPM when in higher gears.

I can barely read those numbers, but why such a big difference in output on the three separate runs?

Yea, they tried, turned it off but still kicked in. I guess the computer sees the back wheel is not spinning so therefore prevents me

sorry for it to be so small, basically scanned my sheet. The reason for a big difference in output on the three separate runs was that the first one with the most output was just in D. They were trying to get into fifth gear which was hard. The other two was in S, which puts it in third gear and we had to slowly accelerate

Thanks for printing it for the old man, lol. Feck I'm getting blind.

So...we need to find out how to do this the correct way without having to clear hard codes.

I don`t have a automatic but I thought that the VSA button was for traction control and stability control. I drove an automatic and had no problems getting it to redline with the VSA on if I remember correctly.

You are right that even with an automatic we can still redline with VSA on but I believe that since I was trying to dyno, the computer sees that the front wheels are spinning while the rear is still, thus "thinks" im slipping and did not allow me to redline

Yea numbers are off plus it was'nt done properly since VSA kept kicking in so I couldn't go to redline. I haven't been back down so I haven't gotten it re-dynoed yet.
