11 TSX i4 - Best way to achieve low-end torque

Was curious, is there anyway to achieve a better low-end torque on the i4 TSX? My previous car (also an i4) seemed a bit more peppy. Not looking to swap the engine or anything, just some conservative mods.

Thanks guys.
Matt

Removed the resonator today. Ordered pulleys, should be installed on Tuesday. Going rim shopping soon and going to drop the stock down-pipe (about 18 lbs).

if you really want low end torque, add in ported runners with a downpipe and an intake.

Killer? your kidding me right if anything the intake and downpipe are more for high end power. Pulleys like i said is really the only way for low end torque. out of curiosity killer what do you even have done to your car?

well everyone on 8th accord that added the ported runners and downpipe commented on the fact that they enjoyed the increased throttle response and low end pull. If you'd like, i could pull up all the threads and quote them all for you

on my car? i added a leather steering wheel cover

so far i am really enjoying the increased handling. A must for anyone looking for more performance out of their car

I gotta ask also, if you have any idea what you are talking about, because i did go through and spend the time reading all the relevant threads on and my8thgen. When im curious about something i usually end up searching for information before before i jump to a conclusion

And for that matter, do you have any actual qualifications or are you just pretending to be mildly intelligent?
What have you done to YOUR car that makes you the authority on torque all of a sudden?

And for the record you also seem to ask alot of redundant questions even in threads where theyve been answered already, so excuse me if i dont take your word for stuff immediately, if youd like I will go through your post history and post this stuff as well

simply put, Honda/Acura's has always been known for high revving engines that lack low end torque.

Throwdown released a downpipe and accompanied dyno.
Although the dyno is lacking in information, based on what I know from modifying the 3G TL, the downpipe will move the entire power band up. Thus, increasing torque as well as HP.
The dyno for the i4 down pipe showed an increase of 10hp at peak power.
I believe the whole power band has shifted as well, giving you at least 10lbs of torque.

Some one purchase the downpipe and do before and after dynos!!!

A pully wont necessarily give you torque. you will reach redline much faster, you wont be able to feel it in your butt dyno

Disclaimer*
I'm not familiar with the I4 engine and dont know how it reacts to mods. cruise through the 1st gen TSX section to find out what they did to increase low end torque.

I will say this, I'm searching for low end torque on my six cylinder TL. from what I have concluded, short of a small turbo to spool at around 2300RPM, there isnt a way to increase torque.

was kinda thinking the same thing, anyway..
ive always noticed a LITTLE more low end when i add an intake. for example, when i had my 08 base TL, a friend of mine had the EXACT same car. we raced a few times it was pretty even of course. after adding a CAI i would ALWAYS pull on him not much but definitely you could see a difference. i would always be almost a car length ahead whereas when stock was pretty even.

for the record, you are still a retard, and you also apparently dont know how to use the search feature, i am positive i could go through your entire post history and find answers to every redundant question youve asked in regards to well...anything.

ive read every thread regarding the matter on DA.net and my8thgen, and other forums, so ive also read reviews from other people that installed the downpipe, ported runners, and intakes on the k24 engine (which ironically could also the latest question you asked in the downpipe thread, but ive decided to just ignore your idiocy at certain points). So i did my research before i ran my mouth. If you take some initiative and do a little searching, you will find a wealth of information, and for the record, you have no idea how i got my car, so fuck you, for all i know mommy and daddy paid for your car and those disgusting chrome rims you haul around

I do, and I am a stand up guy, for the record. I have lots of fun trolling, but when someone is genuinely obnoxious like you, it does strike a nerve. Even in threads where someone has offered an answer to your question, you have said "i didnt ask you, did i?" like what the fuck, really?. I honestly cant imagine you have many real life friends, so if you really do need someone to hang out with, I will be happy to sit down and have coffee with you.

Its not like the young kids here are sucking my dick either, its just a matter of being personable and friendly, even if it is the internet. A little less hostility would go a long way towards making your time on the forum more enjoyable. Even if someone is wrong, and from time to time I am wrong as well, there is a polite way and an impolite way to approach the situation.

Mind you, this all started because you were too uptight to take a joke in the first place, and concurrently still act like you are better than everyone else on these forums

I have a CAI installed, and ive done my research on the other parts, to answer your question. Check out drive accord, a lot more people have the downpipe installed and a few with runners if you are interested.
