Hi all. First post here. I have a 2011 TSX sportwagen with tech package; bought it a few months ago. Love the car so far with one exception: Front seat storage space. I don't use CDs anymore, don't have any DVD-A discs, don't care about the hard drive storing old CDs, and don't use the navigation. Cuz, you know, spotify, google maps, and waze on my phone. So the question is, if I remove the CD/DVD "head unit," (see first stock photo below) am I going to kill any of the car's other systems besides the ones listed above? Especially bluetooth, which I use all the time, cuz, you know, smartphone. I would find a junkyard non-tech TSX, grab the storage cubby, and install it (see second stock photo below). DISCLAIMER: I know there was another thread about this back in 2012, but that was never resolved (https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tsx-.../#post16070234).
Trying to find a wiring diagram to see exactly what all those harnesses do, but not a lot of luck on google, acurazine, tsxclub, 12volt.com. Any thoughts on where to find a diagram?
Found a 2008-2010 Accord manual that looks relatively similar. So, the harnesses look the same but are in different locations compared to the TSX setup: Accord - Downloads - Hondahookup.com
It does look like all the functions of the tech package go through the unit, including bluetooth. Back to the drawing board, I guess...
