Does your car have the tech package? If I'm not mistaken, only the models with tech package did they actually put speakers in the rear doors. Regardless of model though, all of them have the same door panels whether they put speakers in them or not.

I have 2012 with no tech package. Upgraded all of the speakers and added ones to the rear doors. The cutout in the door is already there, as well as the grill in the door panel. You just have to run the wires to the speakers.

6 1/2, Same as front doors and rear deck. I'm sure you could cut the hole bigger, but speaker depth might be an issue. I know shallow mount is recommended for the 6 1/2 to have to enough room for the window to roll down properly, and also for the door panel to fit over the speaker. Guess you try a shallow mount 8". I used Polk audio for all my speakers and IMO the midbass of the 6 1/2 is plenty. Whatever you decide, you need spacers to properly mount them.

When you say run the wires to the speakers, does that mean actually purchasing new speaker wire and wiring it to the back of the audio system or is the wire already dangling there pre-wired for installation of a speaker?

Thanks!

Mind telling me which Polk's you installed? Crutchfield is suggesting the DXi-650s for my front door speakers (2009 TSX with Tech/NAV package). Have you been happy with the sound from the Polk's? I've always liked Polk home audio, never tried their car audio components, yet.
