Previous Owner's Phonebook
Previous Owner's Phonebook
Hi All- First post here.
I bought a CPO '09 TSX 6MT/Tech last month. I have one minor issue...
The previous owner had his Blackberry phonebook uploaded to the car via the nav. When I try to delete it, it says an error occurred, and can't be delete. Also, it won't let me upload my iPhone phonebook to the system.
Any clues? I'm kinda lost on this one.
Other than that... awesome car!! I love it. I stepped up to it from an '07 Accord... huge difference IMO.

Assuming you have successfully paired your iPhone (3GS or 4), so you can at least use the HFL system, try delete all phones paired in the system, then delete the BB phone list. Otherwise, your dealer should have cleared the memory on the HFL before selling you the car (part of CPO check list).
Alternatively, you can try this below, this is from the ZDX manual:
1) To enter diagnostic mode, press and hold the three buttons (MAP/GUIDE, MENU, and CANCEL), and keep them pressed for about 3 seconds.
2) Select Detail Information & Setting.
3) Select Functional Setup.
4) Select All Clear to delete all music, images, cell phone information, previous destinations, and the phonebook from the audio-navigation unit

Thanks... I'll give that a shot tonight. I have no problem with the HFL system... it's all nav related. The dealer did delete the paired phones, but not the contacts. They missed this in my wife's RDX too... I'd think they be more careful. My wife's RDX even had the prev. owners home location and previous destinations in the GPS too.
It goes in next Monday for the TSB regarding the XM Weather/Can't call locations/Can't upload phonebook issue. If I can't resolve it, I'll have them look at it.
Thanks again!

I had it in the shop for the XM weather TSB... they seem to think it's related to the failed XM unit... we'll see!
Just an update...
They replaced the XM unit yesterday after they had to order it. No problem syncing the phone book with the nav system now. I can also call locations now, and my traffic and weather work.
