Phone keeps losing sync
I have a 2012 TSX Sport Wagon and my Dell Venue Pro phone keeps losing sync. When I first paired the phone it worked fine but, after a week or so, I had to pair it again. In just over a month it has done this 3 times and the last time the numbers I entered into the car's system seem to have gone as well.
The Dell phone is not listed on Acura's site but it worked fine, at first. As I only have one Bluetooth phone in the house I don't know if the phone or the car's electronics are the issue. Anyone experience this?

I have an old Nokia E51 and it does what you are describing. Unfortunately, vendors all have slightly different implementations of BT and it's something I've learned to live with. Have you tried turning off, then turning back on the phone? This works for me without having to re-sync.

Delete all other phones from your car. Then delete your car (and all other devices) from your phone. Reboot your phone. If your phone has a removable battery, reboot by removing the battery.
Re-pair your phone. Reboot. Make sure that your car is listed as a trusted device that should pair automatically - that setting is in your phone's BT section.
If that solves the problem then you can add other devices (either to your phone or to your car) one at a time and use it for a few days before adding another device.
Even seemingly new cars may have an old phone or two paired - and your phone may well have the odd headset, car or other device remnant.

Mine lost the entire phone about a week after ownership after I paired a second phone.
After deleting the second phone, removing the "ghost" phone from the car and rebooting both phones, I re-paired them, rebooted and all has been fine since then.

My phone always says paired with Handsfreelink even when it is not. It works fine 9 out 10 times then I have to repair it. Car just loses the phone all together every now and then.

Some things never change. I had simliar problems with my Nokia 6500 slide. Not on the list but worked here and there until finally it just would not work at all. Turns out that the 09s have a crappy bluetooth unit (starting to look like all Acura's) as mine just died for no reason. My question is why should I have to pay $700 for a new bluetooth unit when it is obvious that these are defective ?

Nevertheless I'll continue to use speakerphone on my iPhone 4 .. much more reliable.
