Navi DVD Version

I'm curious what version you guys have for your Navi DVD. I saw that the 2010 v4.81 is now available from www.acuranavi.com, so I checked what version I have in my 2009 TSX that I bought last November. It's v4.63, which would appear to be from 2006-2007. What do you other '09 TSX owners have for a version? Did they give me an old DVD when I picked up the car? Thanks for the info!

I just happened to look at my version yesterday while trying to undo the "The" stuck on my Radio Staion ID scroll thing like Derwood had a few months ago & noticed I had 4.63

My car was purchased 8/08. If you do get it, let us know what is updated. When I bought my car the acuradvd (Alpine) people told me there were few changes in my version and the version just before the one you now listed. I was surprised they were forthcoming with that information.

The dealer annd the acuradvd people did say that once you pull ahead to a newer version you can't go back to the old onne.

Thanks for the info. The dealership should be able to back-rev it for you to the old version...I'm certain I read that either in the manual or on this forum. Although if I spent the $185 to get the new version, I doubt I'd decide to go back to the old one!

My primary interest in the new version is that it says "This product also features improved traffic message coverage, for vehicles with traffic service." Right now, the traffic service isn't all that great in my area, so I'm wondering if it's the info that's available or the software... I guess I'll have to give them a call and see if they're as forthcoming with me!

You can go back, the dealer has to go in and remove all the info that the new disk down loaded first. We have had to do it a couple of times on our used cars.

Interesting... I didn't know you could go backwards with the update. I guess it only makes sense that there is a way to do it. Just a computer...

That makes sense, it's doable, but they don't want to, and like erugar said, WTH would I want to? I guess only if there was a glitch or problem with the new one I didn't want to take a chance and get stuck with it?
