If my phone pairs successfully with TSX but phone book wont auto transfer, is the only way to enter my numbers by speaking them to the car? Also - when I have a number stored in there....for example.....Tim - 333-333-3333, Is there a way for the display to show "Tim" calling instead of the phone number?

yeah, i was wondering too. do u have a base or tech. mine is base.

 

I have an 09 tech. I just paired my phone and transfered the entire phone book; hoewver name calling still wont work out of the box.

I noticed that you have to set-up name calling one number at a time. is that correct?

also, i was wondering about the original thread, can we set it up so it says "Tim calling" rather than 333-333-3333

i think so. however that gets very annoying after doing it liek 10 times.
i am not sure, that would be very convient since we probably dont memorize everyone's number. but sry, dont have answer to that.

 

You have to program the voice for every contact, pain in the ass, I know.

If you can figure out the caller ID thing, please let me know as well. All I get is the #, even if the contact name is programed into my phonebook.

 

I have an 09 Tech and just programmed about 30 names in. I just dont memorize anyones numbers so when someone calls ....it doesnt show the name, just the number and I have to guess who it is. Guess I will just have to memorize everyones number now unless someone has a way to display name. Thanks for the responses.
