Installing new 6.5 speakers in front and rear - question

Hi everyone,

I have replaced the rear 6.5 speakers and will replace the front this weekend. I also will be finishing the driver side door of desperately needed sound deadening material.

My question is, I chose to go with Coaxil speakers in the front. I'm afraid it may be too bright and I should have purchased just mid range woofers. I went with these:
Amazon Amazon

I am using the stock amp, I have an aftermarket sub/amp so I am not worried about bass. I know there are much higher quality speakers but until I am ready to install an aftermarket amp (which I am having a hard time finding a tutorial), I just need basic speakers. Can anyone comment on if its ok to use coaxil speakers in the front combined with the factory tweeters?

Put in the coaxil kicker speakers. Going coaxil was fine, Kicker speakers are not that great but the system does get louder.

Also dynomatted the driver/passenger door. So much better now.

I've used coaxials with tweeters in several installs and they work just fine. Remember that the crossover will dictate the frequencies that are sent and any highs that you may be skeptical about are probably cancelled out due to the location which is typically low in the door panel firing into the side of your leg. Sometimes it pays to just go for it in car audio and just pull it out or switch it up if you're not satisfied with the overall result. I'm glad that you had a successful outcome.
