This is my first mod on my 2010 TSX. I didnt like how the current DRL looked (old fashion). I wanted the output to be white instead of yellow halogen. My first thought was to get HID's put in but that wouldnt look great because the light would be scattered. Then i decided to put a projector bulb that was HID equivalent 50w so it would match the headlights.

While those look good, personally I hate DRLs and my first mod was to pull the fuse on them....

If i didnt find a fix I would have done the same, is there a way I can have the DRL's running while my headlights are turned on?

 

I believe that the DRL's are just the high beams on a lower power setting but I am no expert. Don't think there is a way to have the DRL's on with the low beams but once again, since I hate the DRL's, never really looked for a way to run them with the headlights.

 

what bulb did you use?

 

Anyone have experience with the Philips CrystalVision Ultra Headlight Bulbs to replace the DRLs?

Yeah.. they're not too expensive to try and they claim to be "close to HID". I did end up getting them. They're a little bit more white/blue I suppose than stock.. but it's not as "close to HID" as I would have liked.

 

The color on yours looks good soupi.. what kind/brand are they?
