Engine takes 3-5 Seconds to Start
Hello I was wondering why my 2010 TSX with 55K takes so long to start up, I'm suspecting it may be the battery, we got it cpo and I'm wondering if they'll cover the battery if it is the battery. I remember reading that Honda's/Acura's don't need tune ups till 100k-150k. Like I said it takes 3-5 seconds to start, I'm scared to listen to music for an hour now fearing that it might die not that it has died yet...

Could also be the starter problem that a TSB was issued for. Is this cold weather related?
If it is the battery, then the battery is covered under the 4/50 warranty.

It seems its in every weather, cold it takes another .5 seconds
My 4/50 warranty ended already so will my Acura care 5/100 take care of it?

Just called Acura of LibertyVille (not the dealership I bought it from) the receptionist informed the that it doesn't have to do with the alternator. If it is the battery it is covered by 4 years and no mileage limit and I can come in anytime and they can test it quickly. Planning to go out there in the weekend, now I'm thinking maybe I should have them test out the speakers cause I want to check if their all working, just say they've been acting up a bit and they'll check em for me. Anything I should check for? I know about the whining door locks, that doesn't happen in this car but happens in my Mazda3.

Guys how can I make sure the battery is dying? It actually only is taking 2-3 seconds to start now so I'm worried we're going tomorrow for no reason.

Good advice.
Just replaced the battery on my '10 TSX, could hear on cold days it was slow to start. Changed oil with a trusted local mechanic, he called me and said battery needed replacing, but I pushed him off, knowing it should be covered by Acura.
Went up to SLC area (Hale) Acura dealer, they took 2 1/2 hours to swap it out (didn't have an appointment) and then they guy told me they swapped it, but it didn't really need replacing... since they had left the flashers on for over an hour and it hadn't died. Really? Do the damn load test!

Yeah i bitched a little and he just talked to me, i dont think he's chatting it anymore since its 'covered'. I'm 16 and I told this other salesman that I was looking to buy a car and I was checking out their C300. Thanks
The service manager here sucks though
