Constant power source in a 2009 TSX

Anyone know where I can find a 12dc <10a power source that I need in the trunk? I ran a wire to the drivers side fuse box but at first glance I've only located a switched source. I'd rather not wire through the firewall to the battery unless there's no other option.
Thanks.

TSX has three fuse boxes, Driver/Passenger and under-hood. The one that suit your requirement appears to be located in the under-hood fuse box (position 10- which has a 10A- Horn). The horn works without ignition key on which is what I think you were looking for.

Firewall

Thanks for the input. Any idea how to get into the engine compartment without drilling or taking apart A/C ducts, etc?

Seems like you might be able to tap into the Trunk light wire harness possibly. I did something similar wiring my radar detector a few years ago and sticking a small wire into the correct port of a harness works pretty well. This is the concept invisicord uses for hardwiring radar detectors.

If this first recommendation doesn't work out, you can usually go through a grommet in the firewall.

I don't own a TSX but would be surprised if it doesn't have a large grommet on the firewall on the driver's side. If so, simply make a small cut in the grommet and route your wires through. You will still need to get the wire all the way to the trunk. Another idea is routing a wire under the car and into the trunk via a possible grommet in the trunk area. Our Pilot had a grommet and I think me TL does too- this would be much easier.

There are two fuses lot for interior lights, one under hood and the other in passenger side. They both rated 7.5A, assuming the truck light goes through one of those circuit.
