choppy bluetooth audio

I have an AT&T FUZE with bluetooth stereo audio, which works fine with my Motorola S9 wireless headphones. But when paired to a TSX, I get intermittent choppiness. It appears to be related to where I position it in the car, but not entirely, because I'll move it, the audio clears up, and then I leave it there and then it gets choppy again. The choppiness even makes it seem like it's slowing down in a strange way.

Anyway, I'd blame my phone except that it works fine with another bt-audio device (headphones) just fine.

Any suggestions/ideas?
Thanks,
Jon

PS - This is a loaner TSX, and it's kind of a trial run for me.

I have the same problem when I use my N95, though i think the problem goes away after a few minutes of use.
