Bluetooth On-screen Dialing?

I just got a 2010 TSX V6 with Tech, and love the car so far. But for the life of me I cannot figure out how to do something I used to do on my old 2004 TL, which was dial a phone number using the on-screen keypad. Does anyone know if the TSX has this feature?

I found the on-screen dialing to be much faster and more convenient than using voice commands when a person wasn't in the phonebook. Also, my cell phone is password protected, so if I place any calls from the phone itself, I have to enter the password each time. The on-screen dial pad allowed me to still call without using the password - another big plus. Any ideas?

by on-screen dialing, do you mean surfing your phonebook and calling a contact?

if so, you have to first import your phonebook into the system, then hit the "info" button...then browse away.

Nym -- I don't think we can do that; there's some subtle differences between tech packages on TL/MDX and TSX... and i think this is one. I agree, this features is very handy (ever try putting in a conference call code via voice dial? ew...)

Thank you, but I meant dialing numbers that are not in the phone book, and instead using a keypad of numbers that appears on the screen. I have a bad habit (or talent, if you will) of memorizing everyone's phone number and never liking to use a phone book. Its just always seemed faster to me that way.

Fuzzylabrat, do you know if this feature is in the 2010 TL or only was in the older TLs? And are you certain the TSX doesn't have it?

Nym,
While I was having my 09 TSX Tech serviced, I was provided a loaner 2010 MDX; while the interface (buttons/knobs) were the same, the screen looked slightly different and sure enough, had on screen dial via the knob. I

I can't find the Youtube video right now, but there's a nice dealer-made demonstration of the TL tech package (2009 I think) that shows the on-screen dial and more.

I'd love to be wrong -- i've only had my 2009 for about a month now, but I've not found anything in the manual nor any feature that lets me dial on screen :-(
