Question audio system display gone haywire

I have a 2009 Acura TSX (no nav - completely stock). I just got back from a 10 day trip to find that my car's center console display for the audio system, climate control etc is flashing random like crazy.

Basically the display is flashing all the possible symbols / icons / numbers on my display, in seemingly random sequence. It kind of looks like the test screens that show up when you reboot old arcade video game machines.

Now, my whole sound system is working fine, as well as the climate control, meaning the system will change radio stations, volume, climate control works. It's just the display is flashing very annoyingly and not displaying the actual status of the sound system and climate control.

Is there anything I can do save for taking it to the dealership? I tried disconnecting the battery, but this did not help the situation.

Thank you for any assistance.
